This picture...have they lost their kinds? What's up with all the ai lately

One thing in that article is that Jenny Slade made a complaint to Sony about Heath.
HW reporter leaking her name and the circumstance for the complaint is something else.

Maybe? Hopefully? They had her permission?

Yesterday HR said Jenny's complaint was against Justin. Now Heath. Why didn't they wait for confirmation or for Jenny to speak? This getting dangerous. It's going to make other actress not report people now.

I find it weird because the article doesn't really describe what happened. They use it as an example of Baldoni making someone uncomfortable on set because of the way he communicates, but dont' describe what he said that bothered her so much she went to HR. Something about motherhood or his respect for motherhood? It's really weird.

Without knowing exactly what he said, it comes off as petty on Slate's part, because the context is that he was offering to have Wayfarer pay her security deposit so she could move somewhere more suitable for her toddler, which sounds like an unequivocally kind gesture. But Slate doesn't strike me as someone who would go run to HR over nothing or who is easily offended -- I've seen her standup and read her book and seen lots of interviews with her and she seems pretty chill, generally. Like I would assume if someone said something kind of off or weird to her, she'd laugh at them and then turn it into a joke later.

So what the heck did he say that made her so uncomfortable she went and had a conversation with HR? it's a huge jump and without knowing exactly why she was offended, mentioning the incident or her by name seems discrediting. Which I don't think is fair to her. If they are going to mention her and her allegation, they could at least outline the allegation so it makes sense in context.

But who knows, maybe THR is afraid Baldoni will sue them for defamation if they truthfully report on an allegation by Slate.

Seems a few of these complaints, including JS if it is accurate, relate to 'mansplaining' for lack of a better word. Heath is explainng to JS what it is like to be a mother and what she needs.

Baldoni and Heath were both explaining to BL what it is like to give birth and what that experience should be like.

They seem to think they have the ability to be more in tune with women than the women themselves which is pretty sexist but in their minds that makes them look sensitive.

The difference here is Lively was acting and the men were her directors. It’s literally her job to take their input.

It’s all bloody stupid and none is SH. Absurd. The paragraphs and paragraphs about Ba’hai are not germane to anything. All of it is to find something, anything, to tar JB to rescue BL/RR. Contemptible, obvious, and doomed to fail.

More info out on Jenny Slate’s complaints. They don’t sound sexual in nature to me. Word on the street is that Blake was really wanting her to join the lawsuit and she is refusing, so they may subpoena her. Awkward.

Anyway, the complaint is that she didn’t like her accommodations when filming and went to Wayfair to ask for money to get her security deposit back and get another apartment. Odd, but OK. It’s nice to be an actress I guess.

Apparently wayfarer agreed and they gave her the upgrade and then justin said something that made her uncomfortable about the sanctity of motherhood. So maybe weird inappropriate behavior, but doesn’t sound like sexual harassment?

But hey, she got a nice upgraded apartment in New York City. All of these people are really really strange and they all sound fragile to me.

Not exactly. Baldni telling her all women give birth nude in real life and so she needed to do that in the movie and Heath showing her a video of his naked wife a day after the scene was shot are not about being movie directors or taking input.

Comments don't have to be sexual to be sexual harrassment - the definition includes offensive comments related to gender as well.

+1

Arguing that Lively had to take any direction from them no matter how offensive because "it's her job" is a dangerous expectation.

What if a director told an actor filming a scene where they cut their hand that the only way to do it correctly would be to actually cut themselves?

What if a director told an actor whose character was a Nazi that in order to get into the mindset, they needed to discuss all the things they hated about Jews together?

What if a director told an actor playing a woman giving birth that all women tear their clothes off when they give birth, so she should too.

Oh wait. It's almost like directors still have to be accountable to basic human decency and employment standards even while directing an actor. Hmmmm.

Baldoni clearly knew he had messed up which is why he wanted to go on a Dr Phil type show to talk about how his brain is different to explain the things he said and did - so he knows he said and did things...he is just saying he couldn't help it because he is neurodivergent, socially awkward, and impulsive.

His PR team said no to this request of his!

+1 and the PP twists the details from the THR article in inaccurate ways. There was nothing in there that said Slate was trying to upgrade her housing, or that Wayfarer was paying for the upgrade. She said she was unhappy with the apartment she was renting because it posed some issues for her toddler but that she wasn't going to move because she didn't want to pay the 15k security deposit to get out of the lease. It's not even clear she asked them to pay for it -- it sounds like they volunteered.

I'd really like to know what Baldoni said that was so upsetting that Slate reported it to HR given that the conversation was about Wayfarer paying 15k to help her break her lease. I would put up with a lot of weirdness to save 15k! I feel like it must be something really bad.

I don't think they have the full story or complaint. They're relying on 3rd party sources who don't have the full story for clicks and $$. THR is a trade newspaper with an okay reputation. They need to stop. I am not going to speculate what was said because it's fruitless.

She reported heath about this incident. Not Justin.
