Harris 47%
Trump 48%

Seems like post convention bump is gone and she is losing support. Maybe do an interview or press conference so people actually get to see her and ask her questions.

Hard core Dems will vote for her no matter what. It’s the Independents she is bleeding.

Maybe.

If the NYT poll questions are like their reporting is these days, the poll may not capture reality among independents.

I’m an independent. I was very pleased when Biden dropped out and was impressed (and surprised) by Harris in the first weeks.

Here is the nuance: I’m less excited right now because she doesn’t pleasantly surprise me. She’s a solid candidate and will be a smart, tough commander in chief. She has my vote but I’m not breathlessly following her. I don’t want to breathlessly follow any candidate or president. I want them to do the job efficiently and effectively without drama.

Trump is old and crazy. Actually demented. And boring. I want him to proceed to the 19th hole now. I would have been more interested in the GOP had Haley been the nominee.

“She’s a solid candidate and will be a smart, tough commander in chief. “

What about the past 3 years makes you think she will a smart tough commander in chief?

Her warning to Putin not to invade Ukraine was useless. She did not sieve the root cause cause's of the immigration issue. Up until may, there was discussion about dropping her off the Biden ticket as she was so unpopular and had a worse approval rating than Biden?

I do t understand not that people think she is amazing after that. And all the problems she is promising to fix after the election, how about staring now!!! She is basically in right now and these issue have been going on under her administration with Biden?

If there are still "I'd vote for Biden's head in a jar over Trump" voters out there , there's no comparison. Harris is a superior candidate to Trump by every objective measure. The debate will further bear this out.

Harris visits spice shop known for hating and slamming Republicans, calls for end of 'divisiveness'

Do you know anything about Penzey's? They are the opposite of divisiveness. It's the ONLY place we buy our spices.

WAUWATOSA, Wis. - Wauwatosa-based Penzeys Spices, a national company, is calling Republicans "racists."

In a Friday, Jan. 14 morning email blast from the company to customers, the subject line read: "Republicans Are Racists Weekend."

In the email, CEO Bill Penzey addresses Republicans: "If you are a Republican voter you are now cheesed off. You were promised that there would never be any accountability for your support of the party of open ‘textbook’ racism. Sorry, but for the betterment of all Americans, you included, we’ve decided to end that rule. And I really don’t care what your race is or how many of your friends ‘happen to be’ whatever. None of that excuses you."

The company also posted the message to its Facebook page, which gained support and criticism. "I just threw out my ‘Be Kind Penzeys’ magnet. What a hypocritical company," responded one person.

In 2014, Penzey wrote that residents of Waukesha County had "fled west" to escape diversity in Milwaukee. In 2016, he accused supporters of Donald Trump of committing "racism" by voting for Trump.

In a Facebook post in 2016 titled "Cooking trumps racism," Penzey wrote of Republicans: "You really are a good bunch, but you just committed the biggest act of racism in American history since Wallace stood in the schoolhouse doorway 53 years ago. Make this right. Take ownership for what you have done and begin the pathway forward."

"He doesn`t know me. He doesn`t know anybody that I know that had purchased from him," Robin Moore, a Waukesha County Republican, said at the time, "but we're racist because we chose to vote for a person that in this country, we have every right to do?"

Penzeys Spices spent nearly $100,000 on Facebook ads in 2019 calling for then-President Trump's impeachment.

How is this not divisive?

It definitely makes me want to buy more Penzeys spices.

Because the owner insults republicans and is extremely divisive.

But you commented that Penzeys is the opposite of divisive? What you really meant is that Penzeys is 10/10 divisive and you agree with their stance.

Where is the insult? Please be specific. What is objectionable or false in the post?

It’s all true. Republicans are bad, all of them. America should only have one political party, the democratic party.

Um... what?

It is great that there are GOP leaders and voters who are supporting Harris. But the democrats win when their base votes. If someone is troubled by the idea that Trump is being called out for the racism, and that Trump is, in fact, a racist, and the racists support Trump; then one should either distance themselves from Trump or else be associated with him and not be upset about it.

You and your fellow Democrats love to sling the word "racist" about. Please do tell us how Trump is "racist," because at this point, it's become meaningless. You simply apply it to anyone you don't like. Being against illegal immigration is not racist, just in case you were going to lead with that.

Trump has a long history of racism that doesn’t need to be explained again. For recent examples, check out some of his recent public appearances for his racist dog whistles.

The rounding up of “millions of illegal immigrants” refrain is fascism. He is othering a group of people. He’s also flip flopping a lot on this as he now seems to think we need more immigrants for AI, or something. It was incoherent.

Precisely this. Frankly, I'm appalled that they chose this particular store.

The average swing voter will see Harris's genuine response to people in the venue that has been documented online. Not the partisan "inside baseball " stuff being pushed about the alleged owner. I guess the young girls thrilled to see Harris were plants too? Get serious.

Perhaps it's you who needs to get serious. You can't possibly expect people to see the online rantings of the store owner and dismiss it as nothing at all... or maybe you do. Bill Penzey is a far, far left lunatic who can't keep his political extremism to himself. Interesting that you claim anything has been "pushed" about him. He put it out there for all to see - but I can understand why you'd want to pretend otherwise.

62% of Americans support deporting all illegals. Including 35% of Democrats.

So Trump is with the almost 2/3 majority here. You’re in the minority. It’s not fascism. It’s the right thing to do to remove people who should not be in this country legally.

If someone breaks into you house and takes over a bedroom, are you going to allow that or call the cops to remove them?

We need more Legal immigrants with educations like doctors, engineers, computer programmers. Not millions of economic migrants that have little to no education.

If we don’t have enforced borders, we no longer have a real country.

It’s not complicated but the Democrats will likely hand Trump the election by failing to demonstrate any commitment to deporting people here illegally.

And are here illegally and depress wages for lower paying jobs, while their kids suck up most of the resources available for public education.

But if you’re wealthy and sending your kids to Sidwell that doesn’t matter to you. You just like the cheap labor.

Except both Obama and Biden have actually deported more people who should not be here than Trump.

Margin expanding daily.

So is this inaccurate info?

I haven’t found any information to show this is inaccurate. It’s being reported as accurate to the source.

The source is weighing polls by 20-year-old MAGAs equivalently to polls by respected national polling firms.
