Sarah Palin is a big fat idiot

Sorry, I'm in a bad mood today.

I saw Greta Sustern's show last night with Bristol Palin, daughter of Sarah Palin. Bristol was speaking to Greta about the difficulties of being a teenage mom. Bristol's grandmother was supposed to come out with the baby on TV but instead, Sarah Palin took over and was the one who stepped out in front of the camera. She took over the entire interview after that. That woman is just a big fat ham for the camera. She can not keep her mouth shut. She just dies for having attention. Greta did not invite her. There was no reason for her to come on. She could not even let her 18 year old daugher do her own interview without jumping in front of her for the camera.

Wow, that's sad and pathetic.

why was Greta interviewing Bristol Palin? Aren't there other 18 year old girls with babies that could be interviewed?

I was thinking why was Bristol Palin granting the interview? If she was offended by the media coverage of her pregnancy, then she should just fade away and live her life. Why would she put herself out there again?

Bristol Palin was interviewed for probably many political reasons - 1) For Greata to discern how she could have gotten pregnant in such a 'conservative' family 2) For Greta to show the public how Sarah Palin handled it with her daughter 3) Because Bristol Palin's pregnancy was such a controversial issue so she's a recognizable face to everyone, 4) As a recognizable face, teenagers might relate to her

I think she put herself out there because mom wants her to....so mom can keep the media interest on her alive, keep the fire burning.

Bristol Palin seems like an intensely private girl, not one who enjoys putting herself in front of the camera. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is a camera hog.

To be fair to Sarah Palin, Bristol told Greta that she didn't tell her mom about the interview until the day before. So I don't think Palin had anything to do with setting this up.

I think Sarah would put her kids up for ransom if it meant getting elected. I'm exaggerating, but you get my point. She dragged her kids, out of school, and around the country to campaign. Her youngest daughter, Piper, in one interview said it was hard to be away from school all the time and that she missed so much during that time. But Sarah Palin quickly followed that up and asked her, "But did you like all the fun you had?" to which the youngster replied, "Yeah, I did" to absolve herself from appearing as the media-hungry, politically ambitious mom who dragged her kids through campaign mud for her own political aspirations.

So I don't buy that Bristol Palin didn't tell her mother about the interview until the day before. She probably meant she didn't tell her what time the interview was or what day of the week the interview was. But I am certain it was heavily discussed at home and I'm certain Sarah Palin pushed her daughter to do it.

This is exactly the attitude that Bristol was upset about in the media. The idea that as an 18 year old she doesn't have a brain in her head and is a political puppet of her mother was clearly offensive to her - congratulations for dishing Bristol more of the same. Who looks small here?

So what kind of relationship is there that Bristol has to keep the interview from her mother until the day before?

Maybe a normal 18 year old asserting her independence? I did plenty at 18 that I didn't tell my mom about in advance - and not all of it legal! Which is it - she has a bad relationship with her mom or she is under her mom's control?

I think she's under mom's control.

BTW, my body and face cringed when I saw that face and heard that whiny voice.

Like her or not, but all politicians both male and female and of both parties do this. It is the name of the game. If you put yourself out in the public, the mud will find you. This does not make Sarah Palin any guiltier than every other “politically ambitious” individual who chooses to run for office. It seems her ambitions garner more criticism because she is a female and she is a Mom.

And the criticism are coming primarily from moms too - go figure.

I think it's more because she is uninformed, inexperienced, unaware, and generally clueless. She is not smart enough or qualified enough to be a national leader. I believe that is why her ambitions are met with such criticism, because they are so far outside of her abilities.

Yes, this is the most accurate conclusion. Journalists have mentioned that Palin has misplaced over confidence.
