Let 's not go there as we have a president who has barely any experience..in fact less than Palin. Now he is allowing Nancy Pelosi to set the agenda and basically just campaigns instead of leads. As for politicians and their kids.Pleaseeeeeeee the Obamas had their girls out there plenty as did Bill and Hilary--both sides do it equally and I think all the kids are fine. |
Please... this was hashed out quite enough during the election, and most reasonable people understand the difference between someone with no advanced degree, very little regular job experience, small town/small state service vs. large state/national service... It's not the number of years in elected office that makes up one's experience. What that elected office (and what one does outside of elected office) also makes a considerable difference in judging whether someone was qualified. Even the Cheney campaign ultimately realized that Sarah Palin was a poor, poor choice and that the vast majority of Americans could not be fooled so easily. Just because she is attractive and can put together complete sentences in an indignant tone does not mean that she is smart or experienced. |
Funny, as I was reading the Washington Post front page yesterday about a world-wide downturn that is worse than anyone expected, I managed to take some comfort at the thought that at least I didn't have to feel terrified every time John McCain had a cold! |
What exactly was the Cheney campaign running for anyway? I must have missed that. |
LOL -- sorry about that. Total Freudian slip on my part. Ha. |
Hillary, Sasha and Malia aren't knocked up, however. So, yes - they're fine . . . but not Bristol and her "fiance." She's up all night with a crying, hungry baby. There's no comparison, PP. Even the Bush twins weren't THAT stupid, and they weren't exactly the brightest bulbs in the White House. |
oops - Freudian perhaps, too? meant to say Chelsea! |
You people are obsessed with sarah palin. |
I beg to differ on the speaking in complete sentences part. |
Disagree, Barack Obama basically accomplished nothing as both a state senator and a U.S. senator and he was undistinguished as a lawyer as well--only spent a ton of money on radical programs. Exactly how many bills did he personally author???????????Sarah Palin actually ran something both a town and the state of Alaska which is more governing experience by far than Obama. People get sucked up in his stupid narrcissistic books and make fun of the fact that she has an accent and isn't some kind of snob. I know a lot of people from Harvard who like to opine about things but couldn't handle working in McDonalds if they had to. The only think that Barack Obama is good at is campaigning..he makes speeches that have wonderful intonation but actually mean nothing and he is good looking. That's it. |
You sound exactly how I would expect a Sarah Palin supporter to sound, in style, tone, and content. |
Then I will take that as a compliment since I think she is wonderful. |
Think? Not a whole lot of that among her supporters. I've never seen someone so blithely ignorant of law, policy, or the role of the VP in governing (I get to run the Senate and make policies, yay!). She did not even pretend to try to learn something about how government works, because her whole schtick is based upon disdaining government and favoring "the average Joe." You can like her shoes, her religion, her cute-ish family, but "thinking" does not come into the equation when you support someone who has never bothered to learn one damned thing about the job she was applying for. |
And yet...we just elected someone President that the exact same things can be said about .... |
In addition to having taught Contitutional Law at a top school, he can locate the United States on the world map. Same can't be said for Sarah "I can see Russia" Palin. |
