It’s interesting to see these teams show up somewhat rusty and out of practice, as a team, after the high school gap. |
So they are rusty. Its a showcase - there no awards, trophies, or places. Just another opportunity to put 18 kids in front of college coaches for a weekend. Why wouldn't you take that opportunity? |
I think the point being made is, they do take the opportunity |
Yep, absolutely. DD's team is going that is on fall ECNL, Spring HS schedule. They have a training tonight to get everyone together and then their games this weekend. It's a good warmup for prepping for national playoffs plus they will play some good teams as well. And last chance to play in front of the colleges before June 15. They will start training again for playoffs after this weekend. |

So much for "no overnights" See some NC trips in our future |
I feel badly for the NC teams. |
4 teams thats two weekends in NC, no different than MA conference in ECNL. Biggest difference is that at least in ECNL you are travelling to play CSA. CSA is the only team worth playing in NC on the girls side. |
I'm sure you realize what a ridiculous statement this is. NC has a population of 11 million people and growing, with many excellent young female soccer players almost all of which do not play for CSA. |
Poster was going for the hyberbole, but they have a point. Looking at Soccer Rankings, CISC will be the cream of the crop as they are coming from ECNL. The rest (Triangle, Wake, CDA) are on par or below the RL teams in NC. |
And would guess it is just 1 weekend (2 teams) as the other 2 will be NC coming to VA. |
if you don't play for CSA, you are not good. |
Hyperbole is the only way to go on here to get discussion going. But yes, all this is what I meant. |
11 Million! lol who cares Charlotte is your only real city. CSA is the brand in charlotte, this is a money game. Don’t be so naive |
