So what's the RIGHT answer?

Anonymous
Is it Christianity, Judaism, Islam? Is Jesus the son of god or is Mohammed? What about Joseph Smith? Maybe the Mormons have it right. Is the Bible the true word of God and not the Torah? Do we get to heaven by belief, actions, or martyrdom.

Does anyone else think this is all ridiculous? I respect people but I don't respect silly ideas no matter how old they may be. The way I see it you're all arguing over nothing and wasting what precious time we do have.

So why post about it?

Because there may be others out there who feel the same way but think they're alone in their feelings. They're not. There is nothing logical about religion and it should seem like it doesn't make sense.

You know the right answer after you die. Be patient.

We can talk about what makes sense to us now. Then we'll find out after death.

OP, if you aren't among the curious, then don't read these threads. Spend your time talking about Kim K's butt on the books/celebrities forum. Easy.

Well I certainly hope I make the right choice then!

Notice how in pretty much every religion, God didn't have daughters, didn't make women prophets, or reveal prophecies to them. Hmmm...

Islam does not say Muhammad is the son of God. In Islam, all of them, including Jesus and Moses, are respected, the same as Muhammad.

I'm curious as to how otherwise rational adults can so strongly believe in any of this especially when they're quick to discredit other versions of "the truth" eerily similar to their own.

Real or not, at least you can see Kim K's butt and it doesn't ask for blind allegiance.

Or maybe, your consciousness just ceases and that's all, folks.

I don't know, you don't know, your prophets didn't know either. If you have faith, you believe something differently but you still don't "know."

That doesn't disprove the ideal that none of this real. I might not know that Harry Potter has a brother but that doesn't mean I'm wrong when I say the story is fiction.

Does it make you feel superior to make absolutist statements of your own on an anonymous forum? I hope so, because otherwise your posts are rather pointless.

I think Zeus had daughters, but no one believes in him anymore. I wonder when people stopped believing in the Greek gods. how did it happen? How long did it take?

If my comments are so upsetting, ask yourself why? I agree the delivery is blunt but I'm trying to make a point. I don't feel superior, I feel sane.
