Not for a while, and almost certainly not until after the election.

So... Probably nothing, then?

Fed investigations take a long time.

If they filed charges before the election, Republicans would scream witch hunt and claim DOJ was politically motivated. Waiting until after the election helps insulate against anything but the most batshit accusations.

Yes, republicans certainly will not claim the indictment is political if DOJ waits until after the election. Also, would you pass the bong?

Anonymous wrote:Oh and he just asked the Supreme Court to intervene. From CNN:

Former President Donald Trump has asked the Supreme Court to intervene in the dispute over materials the FBI seized from his Mar-a-Lago estate this summer.

And he does this at the same time that he is opposing DOJ's request to expedite the full appeal. If Trump wins the full appeal, then DOJ cannot access the classified records until the special master is done. So instead of begging SCOTUS, why not just get the appeal decided?

DP. Trump is not appealing the part of the 11th Circuit’s order that allows DOJ to continue its investigation. It is appealing the stay only with respect to the review of the classified documents by Dearie. They want that part overturned so they can get a look at the classified documents.

They already had the classified documents for a year and a half. Can someone explain why they need them again?

He needs them so he can get Kash Patel to say he declassified them. Lash can’t go tell that story so long as he doesn’t know what docs DOJ has.

Committed republicans are a lost cause. You have to fight for the undecided.

Didn't think it was possible, but Cannon's decision is even more corrupt than it initially seemed. The "medical documents, correspondence relating to taxes, and accounting information" that Cannon used to justify the special master turns out to be a one page letter from Trump's doctor that he publicly released in 2016, an IRS filing extension letter, and an retention agreement with an accounting firm. For those incredibly important personal documents, she put a halt to a national security investigation into the theft of hundreds of the most highly classified documents. What a hack.

Are we not discussing Trump’s request to the Supreme Court on the documents found at MAL?

I would suggest reading the last couple of pages of this thread.

For those who have seen the wreckage of what happens to someone who mishandles classified documents, I cannot believe that there’s no recourse against this woman. She’s the easiest example, but Reality Winner took one page of one document that she thought would sound an alarm for the benefit of the United States and she served four years. Trump has stolen, mishandled, lost and quite possibly even sold thousands of pages and is getting bailed out by corrupt justices.

Who is Molly?

Maybe Molly Michaels, Trump’s former executive assistant?
