Is Liberal Maryland Racist?

Anonymous
How do you explain predominantly liberal Maryland choosing a white GOP governor instead of the black Dem candidate?

Maryland must be racist because CNN, NPR, ABC, WaPo, NYT etc etc etc have been telling us that people who don’t vote for Obama and dislike Eric Holder and Susan Rice do so because they are racist…

Obviously I’m being facetious but now my liberal friends you have a taste of what it’s like to be libeled, slandered and smeared a racist at every turn…

Dunno, but I can honestly say that race was totally irrelevant in my voting decision. If it were a credible woman candidate I'd be more likely to support her based on gender, but I don't care what race my governor is.

well MD is below the mason dixon line

I don't think it's racist to believe Brown is completely uninspiring, lacks vision, and seemed complacent based on the Democratic registration majority.

And those robo-calls. Never have I had so many damn robo-calls. But that's not racist either.

It's sort of racist that you are trolling this way.

Vagina voting. Great

I think Conservative Maryland is racist. Liberal Maryland just didn't bother to show up. Overconfident.

Look at a map. MD is liberal around the DC suburbs and Baltimore City. The rest is very red. Farmers, etc.

I think more knee-jerk politically ignorant.

There is definitely a racist component in the State's blue dog democrats, and of course many republicans. That might have been a sliver of the vote for Hogan though. Certainly not the deciding factor, IMO. Brown was worse than OMalley redux.

Yes this and I voted for Brown. One of the weakest candidates I've ever seen, and I probably would have voted for Hogan if he wasn't against gun control. If he didn't have the O'Malley machine behind him, he wouldn't have made it through the primaries, and the last night's election would probably have turned out differently.
