I grew up in the very red part of MD. The KKK was still active there. Yes, there are definitely parts of MD that remain racist to this day.

Liberals are more racist than conservatives. Liberals are soo racist that they actually feel guilty about it and pretend to be accepting , but the northeast is the most segregated area in the country. In the south , the population lives amongst each other and therefore complain more about each others annoying differences , but are not guilt ridden. The northeast Libs are so racist that they are guilt ridden for separating themselves and their children systematically from people of color. They are the worst among us with few redeeming qualities .

Caring about minority issues is not "identity politics".

Identity politics is filling your convention speaker list with minorities, so they can talk to an all-white convention. Or wondering why black people don't flock to vote for Alan Keyes or Ben Carson. Because, you know, they are supposed to.

Agree. (I've lived in NE and SE.)

Also, the amount of intolerance to the "flyover country" on these boards is astonishing. Yet, no words for "racist jerks" from moderators
