I think deep down Jen knows he's a player and that is why she is working so hard to claim her territory by announcing they were dating so early on. He has never wanted to be in a serious relationship. Lots of women have tried and it's not what he does and his friends in Nashville know this. Why Jen would want to date a confirmed lifelong bachelor is beyond me but it is no secret he has never wanted a LTR. He's only entertaining it with Jen because she's selling his books and making him instagram famous, and attention is the one thing Tyler likes more than sleeping around.

Jen reallly needs to find a dependable, solid, quietly content man who isn’t desperate for public attention and fame

I think Jen is starting to see how dating Tyler is like being with a child. He needs constant attention, pats, and praise. She is almost done raising 5 high energy kids, She needs a solid, secure, quieter man to make her laugh and to calm her down. I think her next guy is going to be that person and she will be so happy. Tyler probably is romancing her because he knows it's not going to work out. He seems like a total opportunist.

Also, did ANY of her internet besties promote HIS book? I know they promoted her cook book but I don't recall seeing any of them, including Kristen who has two black sons, promoting it. That is very telling.

Re: If you’ve read his book, you know this tracks. He is open about not having monogamous relationships in his younger years.

I looked at YT transcript and search/find Tyler and it begins around 12:16

Ok per the transcript he’s only mentioned for 4 min. BUT what was interesting was that he reached out to Jen 2 years ago on instagram which I don’t recall them admitting before. Jen says she didn’t know how to read those ig messages and that’s why she didn’t reply. Doesn’t mention what he said but it was brought up bc he had tried to friend Melissa Doolittle by Facebook and she also struggled accessing the message. Interesting that they’d previously said they had no overlap and didn’t know each other.

What I found most interesting was Melinda said that she felt so affirmed when Jen ended up with a Black man because Jen is such a “champion of people” and a “safe place” during periods of intense race relations. Jen was beside herself in joy. It felt pretty white Saviourish which made me uncomfortable but Melinda is adorable and I’m glad she feels she has good friends around her.
