The Blues already has their 6th team playing in state league, DPL will be for the 6th or 7th team. |
Blues will double maybe tripple register players and run a big pool that plays 2 games per day each weekend in different leagues. |
the Blues is one of the top girls team in socal, they don't need to "get their foot in" any door. Any league would just roll out the red carpet for them. |
Yea that's why they lose their players to Slammers Pats Surf Legends every time when they get older. |
They need to be careful, those slammers coaches will no doubt be ready to take any talent they have. |
Last solid blues group was trinity rodmans group 2002 |
Soooo, we done with the booms? |
who is this person you speak of? |
This thread is dead. So disappointing. I guess we need more booms to wake it up. |
Some news here ... Apparently a team that added GA last year -- Sporting United FC -- in Michigan is dropping out after the club was sold. The new club, Michigan Development Academy, apparently will not offer GA (or anything at the ECNL level for that matter) and it's unclear what will happen to that spot. |
expect more to leave in the next fews years as the quantity raises but the quality decreases |
Soo dumb. Never miss a chance to be a jerk. Weird that a club would choose to back out of all high level leagues. |
The club in GA formed out of a merger/partnership of clubs and the sale appears to involve one of the key parts pre-merger, which may inform why they are being less ambitious. Additionally, some of their teams did struggle on the table. |
Sporting was an organizational disaster, and got zero assistance from the GA. Despite “Trish the Commish” rambling speeches about how much players matter, these girls were never cared about by her or the league. Emails not returned, no visit from Trish to try and save them like she’s tried to save NVA & Kings Hammer who have bled out players. Congratulations on strengthening Nationals ECRL & Hawks Magic |
I dont understand what your expectation was with GA leadership. It sounds like a poorly managed club fell apart and the owners parted it out selling whatever to whoever would buy. This happens all the time independent of the league. Players go to whatever their next best opportunity is. It's weird that the new club owner wouldn't want to keep the GA spot. That's something you can work with + will help with bringing on new players. There must be a lot more to this story that's not being told. Did GA pull their spot in league based on poor performance? This seems more likely and would explain the owners actions parting out the club. |
