+1000 These are the same anarchists who were violently protesting against WTO in the PNW in the 1990s. They protested against Clinton and Obama. Dems are pro-government, they are anti-government. They are *NOT EVEN REMOTELY* "Dems." |
| Regardless, it's completely disingenuous to claim antifa/anarchists aren't responsible for the rioting and damage in Portland. At least be honest. |
Sure they are responsible. But they aren't the only ones responsible for street violence and damage in Portland. There are also outside agitators like Boogaloo Bois, who targeted police stations and police officers and who engaged in arsons and molotov cocktail attacks. And the other part that gets ignored by Andy Ngo and conservative media are the big groups of right wing goons like Proud Boys and Patriot Prayer who go on their weekend warrior trips to Portland to wreak havoc, and attack anyone they see regardless of whether they are even Antifa or not. |
| They are totally responsible. Really awful group of militant extremists, currently some working on a mayoral recall. Most Portlanders loathe them. |
| And no the "boogaloo boys" have not targeted Portland Police stations & engaged in arson in the city. Proud Boys HAVE come near to they city & in it, and have fought in the streets with the anarchists/antifa, that is true. |
Regardless, you failed to read the article posted earlier today that saus there is no proof of ANTIFA involvement in Portland. Facts are important. |
Portland here again, that article was dated. What has transpired since the large protests of last summer were called direct actions, and it was all antifa/anarchists. They are in the parks handing out their anarchy zines & will chat with you all about it if you visit.
|
| No Antifa in Portland. No violence or riots. It’s in your imagination. |
FALSE. They most certainly have. They also targeted police officers and police stations in several other cities - Oakland, Minneapolis, etc. |
|
| Funny how even Portland mayor Ted Wheeler has called out Antifa directly for their violent riots and destruction of businesses. |
| yes, they caused chaos from October - May in this city. They hit my residential area (commercial strip) in November. Think of them as anarchists with antifascist group overlap. -Portlander |
That can't be right. We've been lectured over and over by DCUM's finest know-it-alls that there is no such thing as antifa. |
