Seriously, Comey is now a private citizen. He can't talk about classified matters but he can talk about a lot more than he could as head of the FBI. Does 45 seriously think Comey was the only one making an investigation? He's not personally the one meeting with grand juries. Trump has stepped in it.

A new FBI director won't stop the Senate investigation, such as it is. And if there are subpoenas and sealed indictments, as is rumored, then it's a bit late to stop the FBI investigation.

Guliani is a former AG for New York, before he was Mayor- has lots of ties and friends in the NY FBI Office;
Giuliani announced the October surprise on TV in advance of the Comey letter;
NY FBI OFfice was pissed about Clinton emails and how Comey handled it- when the Weiner stuff came to light, they forced the issue. Of course, the Weiner issue was manufactured by Wikileaks (ie weaponized hack);
In fact, it was just a couple of emails that Huma had forwarded to print up, not the hundreds or thousands that Comey testified to yesterday.

This part is the rumor - that Comey wasn't fully informed of what exactly was on Weiner's computer and thus the "false" testimony this week that was the justification for the firing.

I remember Kushner in some bullshit interview saying that he was the one who convinced Trump to inject his campaign with $10 million of his own money late in the game.

But I've always had the feeling that it was Kushner's dealings that compromised Trump.

So what is stopping Comey from testifying about a ton of crap he couldn't do so about before, as FBI director? I'm assuming he can't reveal classified info, but there may be other elements that aren't classified but that he would have erred on not testifying to as leading the investigation...?
