My take is that some people are envious of her life (until
The end) and are dragging her reputation through the mud. |
My take is that she dragged *herself* through some very sordid mud. There is no way to candy coat or sanitize what happened. It was a horrible, unseemly and undignified end to an otherwise promising life.. Sad. |
| Pp I appreciate your insight but as the parent of three young girls what do I do to raise them properly and prevent things like this from happening. |
| Usually there appears to be a reason for that type of behavior. Whether mental, psychological, or life experience. |
| Yes true but there could have been those reasons and more. The human psyche is complex. She probably was having an affair and wanted excitement she was not getting from dh. |
| She may have lived if they had called 911 when they first realized that she was in distress. |
My guess is that this young woman was a classic over achiever in HS and college. And at some point she got turned onto these drugs at a party. Not a druggie party but a party where rich people, socialites, successful career people were. She saw other respectable people using them and figured what the hey might as well. Next thing she knew she had a bit of an addiction going on. Nothing she couldn't handle...or so she told herself. When your daughters are old enough show them these types of stories. Let them know that these drugs are bad news and that real friends don't offer them to you. And then hope and pray that the lesson sinks in... |
| There are a lot of people in this country who participate in recreational drugs. I think she was drunk and decided doing coke was a good idea. I knew many kids in HS doing coke and none became addicts. Not saying addiction isn't a possibility, just saying not everyone who does coke is an addict. |
Sounds like she wound up in a dealer's apartment with her older AP doing drugs and ODing. That indicates a level or two or three above casual recreational use. |

Let's face it, this crime is getting attention because people can say, "see how the rich and beautiful live, they're not any better than anyone else". If she was in a lower class, it would be on the lower part of the Daily Mail if at all.

No. I think it says that you can be rich, beautiful, smart with a beautiful family and prestigious career and still fall into this addiction. She could have been at home baking cookies and snuggling up on the couch with her kids to read stories. Then tucking them in and spending the rest of the evening sipping wine and listening to music and having a little romance with her handsome husband... Instead she was drinking and snorting coke (or whatever it was) in a dealer's apt with her older affair partner. That's sad. |
