It’s probably lining the pockets of those who collected it.

lol - to pay for their kids going to private school

In all seriousness, they are collecting money without any legal entity and saying no refunds. They complain about MCPS being transparent, but they aren't transparent either.

You can’t talk about what they are doing with seriousness. The no refunds btw is in bold print.

Also, it’s ironic their communication and site are all in English, no? I thought they were fighting partially the cause of lack of access / lack of translations for the plurality.

😆 do as they say, not as they do

Don't mind that they aren't yet property registered as a charitable organization in Maryland yet, which is necessary to legally solicit donations. Or that they won't identity their "board" members. They must be legit.

It takes a few months to get registered. Why haven’t they done that? You can ask for donations but this is pretty shady.

LOL oh TT you are working so hard to create chaos.

The Wootton entity was created and registered in February and is listed in Maryland.

What are you paying your comms team? $200K a year to post garbage? What a great job!

This is Taylor we are talking about. He isn't starting over - he thinks his original ideas are brilliant. And he does not lister to the community - he could care less about what other people think, because he is sure he is correct.

No, it isn't Taylor we are talking about. We are talking about what a court would order in the (unlikely) event this lawsuit (if ever filed) is successful.

You are so full of Taylor hate that you can't even comprehend what you are reading anymore.

Even if it were successful MCPS would just redo things to still keep this plan.

Possibly. But politics then comes into play.

What politics?? School board elections are county-wide, this is a non-issue for county council/executive, and the number of people who care about this is somewhere in the vicinity of 50. Even if the entire Crown school community vociferously opposed this move, they would STILL be a wild minority within the context of MoCo.

So, then why no integrity or refunds when you haven’t filed as promised?

Consult your massive legal team to learn how litigation works. On second thought, never mind. The MCPS legal department is inept.

You really shouldn't be pretending to represent Wootton as you make them look really bad. Has anyone taken a poll of the school and community to see who wants to stay and who wants to move? My impression is its about a dozen vocal people with about 30 more supporting it and half don't have kids or associated with Wootton or MCPS.

Insane that some people seem to literally think MCPS and its PR team would waste their time on this forum. The board and Taylor are living rent free in your paranoid little heads.

Something was already filed last month.
And the org is registered.

Yawn. Please stop talking if you have no idea what you are talking about.

I'd say that big scary filing warning them to not vote for H really worked.

No one did that. Why are you so obsessed Essie? Why do you hate parents so much?

I’m confused by what would even occur in a court case about this. Not being happy with an MCPS decision isn’t the same thing as the decision being illegal. Thinking that the decision isn’t fair because it lowers property centers isn’t the same thing as being illegal.

What about the decision making process was illegal according to the folks who have retained the lawyers?
