Why is it bad to bring some of the brightest foreign medical graduates to the US? Having really top doctors here seems like a good thing.

It isn't up to the US government to allocate spaces for admissions to a private university. THAT would be the very SoCiALiSm the right cries about every day.

Maybe those foreign students were extraordinary applicants that the others simply couldn't measure up to.

No, as someone who sits on a committee, I can say that there is a ceiling to how extraordinary or different from your peers that you can be as a medical residency candidate.

Same with foreign college applicants. Spend some time on Reddit. The "extraordinary" foreign students have the same grades, SAT scores and extracurriculars as the American students who are denied. There's a ceiling on how fabulous an 18 year old can be.

I hate this administration but I also disagree that foreign candidates to elite universities are vastly superior to the American candidates who were denied. No, what they bring to the table is diversity. Fair enough but stop saying that they are somehow all better qualified.

Disagree. If all candidates were equally excellent for the subspecialty residencies, it would be easier for anyone to get into them but it isn't.

Stop voting for people who ignore the 99.9% and instead take their orders from the 0.1%

On Monday’s broadcast of NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) stated that “the immigration policy, where we have a million and a half less people in the workforce right now, it’s causing more overtime and having to hire people at higher wages.” And that is one thing causing upward pressure on prices.

Declining migration and the resulting wage gains are bad because they create “affordability” problems, Democrat Rep. Tom Suozzi (NY) told News Nation on Tuesday.

We have to look at all the different factors, even the immigration policy, where we have a million and a half less [migrant] people in the workforce right now, it’s causing more overtime and having to hire people at higher wages. These are all upward pressure[s] on people’s prices.

Democrats like Tom Suozzi have abandoned US workers to grovel at the feet of educated urban elites.

no US worker should ever vote Democrat!

Ignore this obvious troll! So blatant false.

America is broken because capitalism has its flaws too. Democracy and Capitalism both. It's not that they are terrible or don't work or shouldn't be used to run a country. It's that everything has pros and cons. But the US wants to turn a blind eye and focus only on the pros and not mitigate the cons. Thus, we remain a broken society. It will always be broken and the rich will only always have the "power" as they have had from the beginning of time.

The most effective, strongest, best ways always requires a blend of ingredients - it can't simply be just capitalism running the show. But it is in the US and people still will not acknowledge that it's not Dem v GOP but the influx of money that's the true power broker.

Influx of money? No it's the outflow of money to one foreign country that uses it to put American politicians on retainer.

Here’s an internal medicine residency program in Texas where all 13 residents are foreigners. Six of the thirteen are from Pakistan.

and thousands for US citizens were not matched and rejected

Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie cruises on her 300 million dollar super yacht Kaos.

Meanwhile, Walmart and its contractors have been one of the heaviest users of H-1B visas in retail bringing in thousands of cheaper foreign workers for IT and management roles.

Rules for thee but not for me.
Luxury for the Walton family. Wage suppression and replacement for American workers.

This is the globalist double standard in plain sight.

Endorsed and supported by all Democrats, how things have changed

Please. The Waltons support Republicans and always have.

Same with the company. "Overall political spending favors Republicans over Democrats by more than five-to-one."

So get out of here with your nonsense.

and?

Maybe these applicants had stronger credentials. Why do you assume they don't?

Wait, you think Democrats have benefited from Citizens United or that the Waltons support Democrats? Really?

Internal medicine is a primary care residency. Primary care is a really unpopular choice for med school graduates. Much less pay than specialties. There is a national shortage of primary care physicians.

I don't know the specifics of this residency program, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't have enough US applicants for internal medicine.

In three months, Zohran Mamdani has:
-Delivered millions in restitution for workers cheated by fast food and delivery companies
-Cracked down on bad landlords
-Launched the first stage of a universal childcare program
-Fixed thousands of potholes in NYC streets
This is what leadership looks like.
