Why is it bad to bring some of the brightest foreign medical graduates to the US? Having really top doctors here seems like a good thing. |
Disagree. If all candidates were equally excellent for the subspecialty residencies, it would be easier for anyone to get into them but it isn't. |
Ignore this obvious troll! So blatant false. |

America is broken because capitalism has its flaws too. Democracy and Capitalism both. It's not that they are terrible or don't work or shouldn't be used to run a country. It's that everything has pros and cons. But the US wants to turn a blind eye and focus only on the pros and not mitigate the cons. Thus, we remain a broken society. It will always be broken and the rich will only always have the "power" as they have had from the beginning of time.
The most effective, strongest, best ways always requires a blend of ingredients - it can't simply be just capitalism running the show. But it is in the US and people still will not acknowledge that it's not Dem v GOP but the influx of money that's the true power broker. |
Influx of money? No it's the outflow of money to one foreign country that uses it to put American politicians on retainer. |

Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie cruises on her 300 million dollar super yacht Kaos.
Meanwhile, Walmart and its contractors have been one of the heaviest users of H-1B visas in retail bringing in thousands of cheaper foreign workers for IT and management roles. Rules for thee but not for me. Luxury for the Walton family. Wage suppression and replacement for American workers. This is the globalist double standard in plain sight. Endorsed and supported by all Democrats, how things have changed https://www.yachtworld.com/research/300-million-walmart-heiress-megayacht-kaos-by-oceanco/ |
Please. The Waltons support Republicans and always have. https://www.ufcw.org/press-releases/new-report-on-political-contributions-underscores-walmarts-sharp-turn-to-the-right/ Same with the company. "Overall political spending favors Republicans over Democrats by more than five-to-one." https://united4respect.org/reports/walmart-political-spending-2024/ So get out of here with your nonsense. |
Wait, you think Democrats have benefited from Citizens United or that the Waltons support Democrats? Really? |

Internal medicine is a primary care residency. Primary care is a really unpopular choice for med school graduates. Much less pay than specialties. There is a national shortage of primary care physicians. I don't know the specifics of this residency program, but I wouldn't be surprised if they just didn't have enough US applicants for internal medicine. |
