Well, I'm not sure how much Spanberger received, but some of our Nova reps sure got their share: Pekarsky, Surovell, Simonds, etc.

I give her a year before things in VA begin to tank.

This comment didn't age well, she didn't need a year she needed less than a few months!

Same!

Why has there been no update? I thought she only had until midnight last night to decide?

Here’s the reality of how a bill becomes law in Virginia—because a lot of folks get this wrong:

Once the General Assembly passes a bill, it goes to the Governor. Under Article V, Section 6 of the Virginia Constitution, the Governor has a limited window to act. She can sign it, veto it, or recommend amendments.

But here’s the key part—if the Governor does nothing within the constitutional deadline, the bill automatically becomes law. No signature required.

So when you hear people say “the Governor hasn’t signed it yet,” that doesn’t mean it’s dead. In Virginia, inaction is approval.

She will sign every bill put in front of her.

Take that, Mags.

Love it! Love her platform. Ready for intelligent Virginia to be again!

She's not going to sign them or veto them. She's a political puppet.

I voted for her but “intelligent Virginia” is a bar too high for her to reach. It all going to be politics as sport and power that has nuthing to do with people. If something positive gets done for people, it will be by accident.

She needs a better messaging approach. Both when she was running and now, she makes statements that she’s going to improve things, but doesn’t say HOW. I saw some posts that said she signed a bunch of bills on “affordability” but didn’t say at all what they were and what they mean. Is she putting money in my bank account? Imposing billion dollar taxes on Amazon to pay for electric power? Adding more in-state slots for public universities? Minting doge coin? Who knows? Even lie to us a little and make grandiose claims about the bills you signed so we have a sense of what’s going on.

Still not going to vote for a Republican given the current state of the GQP though. That’s who will need to rebuild our trust.

She needs a hell of a lot more than better messaging. She needs to reverse course. She says she wants to focus on affordability yet has increased costs through her tax increases. She has pretty much done the opposite of everything she promised. This shouldn’t be surprising given she was formerly CIA and has learned how to lie convincingly. And voters are taking note.
