Yes! It's the yearning in their kisses that makes me want to re-watch certain scenes over and over again. It looks and feels desperate, like they want to melt into each other. The intimacy in this show is unmatched. Kudos to the actors and creators. |
Ilya is everything. He’s raised the bar for fictional characters and as for men in real life, I might as well just give up. |
You'd probably be better off without a man in real life anyway. Ilya on HR gives you everything you need, and nothing you don't. |
Pretty sure the sex scenes were there for the gays. Women don't need to see sex -- yearning looks and kisses are enough. |
Most women are in relationships like this, so it feels very familiar. |
+1. At least there is an actual "I love you" at the end of it all. To me that's what makes it truly different from a heterosexual relationship. |
| I don't care about the sex or the yearning. What draws me in is how Connor is able to look and sound Russian when he isn't one at all. |
Oh my gosh his voice! It’s like an octave lower than his natural one. Just incredible. |
This. It's the best attempt I've ever seen. I'm fascinated. |
lol - omg - I can’t tell if you’re trying to be funny or not. Oh dear me, a sex scene between consenting adults! I better not get aroused. How scandalous! |
+2. And at least the sex is amazing when they do hook up. |

I think the fact that Ilya is so different from Connor and Shane so different from Hudson that it accentuates how good the acting was.
Ilya was phenomenally acted. The way Connor sucks his cheeks in and gives himself a hard jawline using just cheek and jaw and mouth muscles when playing Ilya is amazing. I don’t really find Connor the goofy theatre kid attractive at all but Ilya and some of his model looks are a completely different person. |
Same. Such a talent! I am thrilled that he got discovered and is getting inundated with scripts. Rumor is, he might be in talks to star in The Song of Achilles. Hudson Williams and his yearning, expressive eyes is also excellent. The way he goes from being mad at Ilya to folding like a lawn chair in the span of a minute after he gazes longingly at his Grecian god f buddy. The bathroom scene at the Vegas MVP awards is top tier acting from both men. I’ve rewatched that dozens of times. |
| This series is doing more than entertaining—it’s starting conversations. |

Just 6 episodes, but they have raised the bar on what to expect from love stories on film.
Also, can we talk about how well this low-budget show made the characters age over the 9 years? Because they really took them from young, innocent teenagers to men in just six episodes, and it was convincing as hell. Lots of talent in the hair, makeup and costume departments too. |
