Several posters here, for starters. It’s enough of a thing that we have a headline from Politico about how Democrats are “grappling” with the success of the World Cup: https://www.politico.com/live-updates/2026/06/25/world-cup-2026/democrats-grapple-world-cup-success-00977530 |
Look in the mirror. The about-face is hilarious. You were not just wrong, but categorically wrong. |
Nobody is sad to see stadiums packed. We are sad to see ticket price gouging and the fact that many soccer fans can’t go to a match. |

I feared it would be a disaster. I am delighted for the many, many ways this has been a success, and the joy it has brought again to this country. I am saddened by the accounts of people who have been returned away, harassed, or unable to afford to participate fully. |

I am pretty sure I posted earlier in this thread. I certainly never told anyone to boycott the World Cup, and I don't recall telling anyone else to do so. I am fairly certain I started something along the lines of understanding if European fans decided to do so. I'd bet you understand the difference. |

Wow, some ugly typos there.
"I don't recall seeing anyone else do so" "I am fairly certain I stated" |
Thanks for the elaborate screed seeking a way to be a victim here. TDS is a funny thing. |

The topic is the World Cup. And some loser complaining as if attendance at the most popular one in history is some inalienable right. |
Well, many soccer fans are in fact going to matches. You are going to have to come to grips with that. It is bizarre you seem to think that the country that easily funds one of the most expensive pay-to-play soccer development models in the world doesn’t also have fans willing to pay a lot of money for once-in-a-lifetime tickets. The copium and delusion in this thread are astounding. |
ICE was never going to disrupt the World Cup.. |
