Your sad little bitter voice on this nondescript, far off corner of the internet, is a waste of your energy. There are reels from European visitors that overtly state that they feel lied to about what to expect America to be like. They’re here, and they’re totally enamored with our country and its people. |
Because we’re bad ass! Those who spend their days shitting on this country and have zero patriotism, with this being our 250th, are a small and insignificant minority in this country. I’m sorry but you are. I’m sure you feel big in this little corner of the internet. Not so. |

It is hilarious all the clips from foreigners loving:
free refills on coffee, soda, iced tea. Free ice water. And free ice dispensers when you get your soda and at hotels. Free chips, salsa / warm bread at many places. Tourists loving ranch dressing on the side. Air Conditioning is common and free even in cheap hotels. Hotel room sizes are way bigger than European hotels rooms. BBQ is cheap and good. Other places have huge portion sizes. The size of some of our stores like Bass Pro Shop, supermarkets. How easy it is to road trip. Automatic cars, massive multi-lane highways, easy to find, cheaper gas along with free and clean bathrooms at many places like Buc-ee's. Convenient drive-throughs. How friendly and welcoming many people are. Red Sox realize Scotland is playing in the World Cup in June in Boston so let's have a Scottish Day at Fenway Park. Many Americans are willing to talk to strangers and can be incredibly kind. Many Europeans have a guarded reserve about them. Late night eats going to Waffle House at 2 am or other places. |
God bless the World Cup and GOD BLESS AMERICA! |

Who are these insane posters lauding American excess?
They sound insane. |
And this is what the WC should be for all our visitors. A chance for us to show off a bit and to let our visitors see our cute quirks and lives. A chance to marvel at our Costcos and our supermarkets (different scale than most other places in the world). A chance to see teeming multi ethnic cities that truly are “all-American”. A chance to explore our national parks and other parts of the country if visitors decide to extend their stay. But we had to make it a miserable experience for some fans and teams because of our insane border policies. That is not great and we are losing some of the aura we could have gained. Separately, not our fault, but FIFA overpriced this WC so Americans and foreigners alike were priced out so we weren’t able to entertain everyone we couldn’t have. But overall, agreed, this is a wonderful event to watch the pure joy of the game and to showcase America. |
Stadiums have been packed in the U.S., but Canada, not so much. |
The best of America is Bucees and Bass Pro Shops? Good grief, no wonder the US has become such a trash country. I'd rather have affordable health care and high speed rail than diabetes and drive throughs. |
Speaking of Buccees, the Netherlands had a massive crowd show up for their 2.5 mile fan walk from Rice University to NRG stadium in Houston. Just so happened that orange unis are in every Houston household because of the Astros, Dash/Dynamo, and UT so thousands of locals showed up in orange to participate in the revelry. |
Football fans will appreciate the World Cup. Others won't. This is nothing new in the world of sports and entertainment. |
MAGA Australian, do not underestimate us still. You may have beaten us, but we are still Americans at heart.
|
The WC is creating new American football fans and the international fans will go home to their countries and tell everyone they’ve been lied to about America by the press. What a coup for the U.S. |

This is fantasy on your part. What you have been watching videos of some English guy eating at chipotle? There are Chipotles in England. These videos are just for clicks. 99% are making fun of the US or the viewers. |
