They didn't vote against their own interests.

We're not blaming anyone.

We're just saying everyone will get what they voted for. And they should be happy about it.

Not sure what the argument is about here. Seems that a lot of posters are trying to argue that Harris voters should be now putting their bodies in the streets for the Dearborn voters and if we don't, we are mean? Sorry, that will not happen.

They didn’t vote against their interests?

Last week Trump was literally Hitler

We're talking about the Jewish voters who voted for Trump because of Israel.

Arabs in Michigan being pigeonholed into the Gaza crisis is part of the racism of the left. If you’re Latino, you care about illegals immigration. If you’re Arab, you only care about Gaza.

I guess it would be news to many of you Palestinians were getting kidnapped or killed thanks to the Us taxpayer and IDF’s shiny toys long before 10/7 and will continue to die pot get randomly jailed regardless of whether there’s a war or not

We can’t! We can’t go blaming Emhoff and Torres or individuals from the good religion.

Emhoff and Torres are Democrats, so they are certainly not responsible for voting for Trump.

But the minority of Jews who did vote for Trump? They probably did not vote against their own interests. They are more radically pro-Israel than the typical Jew (80% of whom voted for Harris) and they have good reason to believe that Trump will give Netanyahu more ammo and a longer leash in the various wars that Israel is fighting right now. So that is in their interest. Also they are going to be wealthier than average, and Trump is good for the rich. So it's in their favor that way, too.

With the Arabs who voted for Trump? It's hard to see how it advances what they've said are their interests. But maybe their interests are more nuanced than what I understand. I have to assume they made rational choices for themselves.

I'm not angry with them. I'm not anything with them. I just think that to the extent they did this over anger about Gaza, they will regret that choice. Perhaps not!

No one anywhere says you need to put your corpulence on the street for anyone at anytime.

You’re jilling off here by repeat-posting that those mean Michiganders will never see you on their side and you hope they enjoy accelerated deaths. You’re a scumbag, and that’s what’s grossing people out.

What are you arguing for here? Why are you so upset that the Michiganders will never see me on their side? On their side for what? What accelerated death? Are you saying that's what they voted for, because read above?

The Gaza war was not triggering to Arab Americans. Majority of protestors are white.

For my parents generation, it’s the same ol same ol from Israel and the Us and it’s not something they would cast a vote on.

I guess we did. No Muslim ban protests this time, guess we were not good allies. But wishing the best of luck to the campus guys on taking their protests to the new admin.

You’re such a piece of sh!t, honestly.

Nope. Muslims did not care about the rest of us with this vote, this much is clear. So please do tell, why are we supposed to care about this now. And yes, the pro Palestine protests need to find their new target now. If they dare, under the new regime. But something tells me they will be quiet.

Well, now you know how they felt when they went to vote.

Oh, they told us. And they called us hysterical or something. I guess that hysteria was useful to them when we stood up for them during the Muslim ban, but not anymore. Leppard, faces etc. etc. They're on their own

You’re proving that Arab and Muslim Americans were only important as votes to you and the Harris campaign. Stop pretending you ever cared more than that about them.

Here's my question to you. Did Arabs and Muslims care about me as a woman? Yes or no?

Do you want to ask the ones that just, in large numbers, enthusiastically voted for divorced single mother of 2 Tlaib, or are they all to be treated like dog$h!t by you?

Who are you angry with right now?

You. You’re mean spirited and it’s disgusting.

DP. You voted for the guy who called us the enemy with in. Miss me with the mean spirited stuff.

No I did not. You stupid a$$$$holes. The morning after was several days ago, and I cannot believe that our party - MY PARTY that I only and exclusively vote for every election cycle since Bill Clinton when I turned 18 - is this.

There is so much on the board here that suggests the Democratic Party will not be able to do better in 4 years even after we suffer through a shitacular Trump second term.

Maybe it's time to log off and touch grass.

It’s cringe to see a white liberal woman upset she isn’t prioritized by a random Middle Eastern voter in the Midwest.

Why would they prioritize her and her love of abortion? Did she prioritize them when the Palestinian and Lebanese women are getting their limbs blown up in front of their husbands. Why is that not called terrorism but when their men do it, they get called terrorists?

All indications show the Dems have learned nothing from this loss and will likely lose even worse in the 2028 general election.

I think it’s so bad they may even lose the midterms in 2026.

On CNN Van Jones spoke again about Democrats' disrespect shown to people, in the clip linked below, he is speaking about Black men but it is analogous to people who voted Trump due to the Gaza situation:

The above link was sent to me, but here is one direct from CNN from another episode of him speaking on the same subject. He's been saying this for years and I completely agree with him on this issue.

It doesn’t matter who the President is. AIPAC controls Congress and the weapons and US military will always help Israel over Palestinians so you’re not saying much when you’re warning about Trump and Netanyahu’s so called close friendship which if you actually read more news you’d know isn’t a close friendship at all. They are frenemies.

Vance also skipped Netanyahus address to Congress just like Kamala and is not known as a war in Lebanon or Iran enthusiast like Liz Cheney, who Kamala foolishly brought to stump for her in Michigan.
