Yes, Kamala, some rando on DC parenting site is demanding to see the papers. Show us your papers! |
There weren't cell phones with cameras then. My parents barely have any pictures of me from the 1970's or 80's and the idea of one in a work uniform...really? Maybe your family had cameras and film or whatever, but that isn't everyone's experience. |
This. She is masterful at not falling into the trap of letting him lead the narrative. Au contraire, Harris is leading the narrative. Trump is so bent out of shape that she had a summer job at McDonald’s that he created an entire campaign stop to create the impression that he could do the same job she did. And of course he didn’t actually serve any customers. |
There's no need for Harris to prove anything. As soon as she does, there will be another "thing" for her and/or the Dems to prove.
This is all bread and circuses (or rather freedom fries and circuses). Clearly the base loves this. Owning the libs is > than $hitty economic policy, i.e. taxing freedom fries to make them cheaper. (Huh?!?!) Fun fact: we are the 2nd largest importer of potatoes. |
And this is pretty much how Trump’s mass deportations will go. Random nuts braying to see people’s papers. |
This is honestly so bizarre to me. I remember the places I worked, where they were located, some first names/faces of coworkers and various work stories etc. I’d recognize most of them if I ran into them somewhere, and certainly would remember if I had worked with the VP of the US - whose face is on tv all day and on the front page of the newspaper etc. I mean- c’mon that is crazy. |
+1. This is a stupid argument, but let's face it: Kamala's story about working at McDonald's simply does not stand up. I had my first real job when I was 16, in 1985. If I had to prove now that I worked for 1.5 years at that little department store in North Carolina, I could do it. |
How old are you? |
Then the last 40 years must have been really boring for you. Didn’t you do anything in your late teens or twenties? Most people have more interesting things to remember about being sixteen. |
I imagine regular everyday people don't really want to be doxed, attacked, and made miserable because of their association with this or that polarizing figure. Who'd want to risk that?! Even if I were lucky enough to have worked with her, knowing how crazy MAGAs are, I'd keep it to myself. |
But she worked there a few months. Not 18 months. I am 63 now, and don't have memories of who I worked with on my short summer gigs in college. I can pull up a few faces, but not names. |

I had every job you could dream of when I was a teenager in the 80s and my parents never took a picture, no. Plus Harris wasn't living at home when she worked at McDonald's. She was in college. Without cell phones. Also, JFC, this is the new Obama birth certificate for you racist losers. |
Very odd response, but happy to answer your question. Of course I did many things in my late teens and twenties, and I have many fun and interesting things to remember about being sixteen. I guess I'm totally missing your point. Wasn't your first job memorable? All I said is that I could prove that I worked there for 18 months or so if I had to. |
