What a greedy witch. She failed at her job, and is a wealthy woman literally taking money away from children who desperately need their public education funded.

Vote out the BOE incumbents who negotiated this insane payout with a person who should have been terminated for cause.

And yet people claim it has nothing to do with budget shortfall….

MCPS was clearly worried about a discrimination lawsuit.

And those who were abused only get compensation if they sue? Something seems unbalanced and unfair. The county knows who those people are and should be compensating them just as much

+1 they are saying they don't have enough money to fund Title 1 services at schools that are losing that designation because of MCPS's incompetence. Well this is where that money is going instead.

Absolutely disgusting. Fire the BOE.

why would the BOE agree to this when she had significantly LESS than that in the remainder of her contract?

Vote them all out.

Because they're afraid of a law suit, which might could easily cost more than the 1.3 million they agreed to pay her. It's the kind of decision organizations make all the time.

I think her contract had a provision for letting her go with what was remaining in her term? This honestly stinks of hush money.

I'll add the lawsuit(s) they fear may not be from McKnight herself but from teachers that were harassed that have to sue to get compensation.

Shouldn’t they get compensation without suing? Why can’t this be done without lawyers? They know who the teachers are

Then let her serve out the rest of her term in name only.

The teachers are already suing the BOE and Bidleman
