Is he still with MCPS. We have heard nothing since he was put on leave. There was another alcohol related driving incident in August and we heard that he had been reassigned but her seems to have dropped off of the radar. Does he have a desk in HR? |
No |
A quick search states that a Joshua H. Munsey is an Assistant Principal at Walter Johnson HS. Is this the same Munsey? Also, I knew a former Principal of TEHST that was under the influence at school. Was reported multiple times and he was allowed to complete the school year. He then was demoted to an AP at Faquhar MS the following school year but then retired either right before school began or just as school was starting. The Principal for the Damascus before the incident occured should also get some of the blame. Jenn something who went to work for Washington County Public Schools. I am sure that culture existed during her tenure, it just blew up right after she left. |
He never reported to WJ. He ended up in another alcohol related vehicle incident before school began. Are you talking about Jenn Webster? She was promoted to CO as a director for a bit then went to greener pastures outside of MCPS. |
Was he actually intoxicated at work? All I heard was he got a DUI (after hours) |
Most of the stories about Beidleman were after hours as well. |
That is very inaccurate about the principal of QO. You can't drag someone's reputation through the mud with literally zero basis????? |
Wow. Munsey is listed as the AP at WJHS in the electronic email listserv. Unfortunate that he has issues with alcoholism but should be let go if he isn't working. Why are we paying a 150k plus salary? I am sure he made more. Yes, Jenn Webster. I hope she does not come back. |
She left because of the culture, as did others. Had they felt they could exert more positive influence, I suspect they would have stayed. They didn’t want to stay on a derailing train. |
Yes. He was intoxicated multiple times while on the job. He was sentenced just recently to “probation before judgment” for his last DUI in August/September. Regardless, he was on “paid long term leave” THREE times while acting principal at Wheaton— in only two years I should add. Each time he was in rehab. If ANY teacher or staff member did that, we would be fired so fast. Principal Privilege is real. MCPS needs to fire these people instead of pushing them up the ladder. Kids only liked Munsey because he let them do whatever the F$&@ they wanted to do. |
He did plenty wrong during school hours. Nice try. |
I remember watching a video of him on a skateboard or electric scooter at his old school on Twitter. Trying to look cool. He should be let go. |
Here's where the story ends. McKnight gets a $1.3 million payout, according to the Post.

Wow. That is considerably more than her pay for the remaining two years of her contract. |
Here is her contract: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/siteasset...cKnight-20220510.pdf |
