The Golden Bachelor

Love how real Ellen is. So raw. Age doesn't change the emotions.

There are two more episodes. The F2 have been spoiled. Not the F1.

She's really beautiful.
They all are, in different ways!

F2 have been spoiled?

Btw, we knew Theresa from NJ would get a rose tonight because they filmed her hometown at our beach in NJ. They went to the boardwalk in Seaside Heights and went on the ferris wheel. My kid saw them!

The hometown in NJ was in late August

Yes! Not F1 but it seems very obvious which of the two he picks.

It's not obvious to me!

Should we take some bets?
Here's my guess:

F2: Theresa and Faith
F1: Faith
1st Golden Bachelorette: Leslie

A lot can be revealed to Gerry at hometowns. It can change how he feels about each woman and his ability to fit in. Families, friends, homes, neighborhoods all tell you something about who a person is.

We have only seen the women in the fake mansion world. Hometowns are so much more telling in the Golden Bach world vs reg Bach world. In Reg Bach world they are seeing where the contestant grew up (which wasn't under the contestant's control). In GBach world, hometowns reveal the life the contestant has cobbled together -- who and what they prioritize.

Gerry: that's so nice of you to say. We have a good time together.

He's good at keeping it light.

Yeah. There’s only one he wakes up thinking about in the middle of the night, and I have a feeling she and her family will carry a lot of baggage.

I missed it tonight. How did the ladies take the eliminations?

Susan and Sandra seemed to know they'd be eliminated.
Ellen was pissed/sad, but kept it classy.

At the end of episode (post-rise-ceremony) there was a clip of the six of them from earlier doing a group hug and as they circled up Susan said “stay out of my boobs”, then someone had a retort that cracked the rest of them up, but couldn’t make out who or what was said. Anyone catch what is was?

Leslie seems emotionally fragile. I don't find her very interesting so it surprises me when people suggest that she be the first golden bachelorette. Faith seems stronger emotionally and might be a better match for Gerry than Leslie.

Susan started out as the Kris Jenner look a like but as her personality was revealed (or how the footage was edited), I liked her a lot.

Is his hair real? It's very thick for a man his age.

Just reading tea leaves here...

Did you see how Gerry hugged Leslie when she was sad and he said "you're my girl."

The only way the producers would put that in the show at this point is to mis-direct the public into thinking Leslie is the winner. So, that alone makes me think that Leslie is definitely NOT the winner.

I stand behind my belief that Theresa will in fact be the winner.

I think Faith or Leslie would make good Bachelorettes (at least from what we know at the moment).
