Canada Truck Convoy, what to think about it?

No it is time to crush these people. Bunch of crazies right wingers openly taking about overthrowing the government. Yep the Canadians know how to deal with these type of thugs. Word is they will end this by the weekend. They are just coming up with a plan to deal with all the children these thugs are hiding behind. Foster care will be very crowded soon. Law enforcement in the US and DOJ should take notes.

The escalation hasn't worked as intended so far, so why not more escalation? Its bound to work out eventually right?

Explosives in the heart of the Captial? Ya, let me try to guess.

Like the “explosives” in every vehicle’s gas tank? Try not to be an idiot.

Each gallon of gas is equal to 22 sticks of dynamite. Plus they are taking fuel containers not vehicles’ gas tanks….I know you are trying not to be an idiot but it is against your nature.

Uh….so what? Those 5 gallon jugs hold a fraction of the “explosives” in an average gas tank. That’s not a reason to seize the gas, it’s just a farcical pretext for rubes like you.

Sooo, it is a security risk to allow explosives. Derp derp.

Plus there’s pretty strict rules in the Fire Code regarding transportation and storage of flammable liquids. You can’t just do those things in the middle of a city. These things are being used to fill a larger storage tank.

So, potential for explosives and just plain fire code violations, possibly also environmental regulation violations, and goodness knows what else on top of the fact you can’t just build an encampment in the middle of a city.

I wanted to find out what's really going on in Ottawa, so I watched this news report from last night
https://ottawa.ctvnews.ca/what-to-expect-from-the-convoy-protest-occupation-today-1.5773812

Then I wondered who this Tom Marazzo is - the guy whose the spokesman for the truckers and wants to overthrow the Trudeau government.

He's NOT a trucker. He appears to be an unemployed software developer and former college instructor who spent time in the armed forces.

And a judge just ordered the confiscated fuel be returned to the truckers.

Not apropos. The bearded guy did not actually just calmly say "Okay", he reacted by banning books about slavery and teaching about it a thought crime.

It’s their fuel, so that makes sense to me, but I trust they will be told they can’t keep it “there”. They need fuel, they can put it in their rigs.

One of the guys behind him is Paul Alexander, a Trump HHS appointee and herd immunity advocate who worked with Michael Caputo to lie about and bury official US government reports on the pandemic.

Their fuel is being stored and transported in a dangerous and illegal manner, hence the confiscation.
