Sounds like Netanyahu wants the US to stick around long enough to help them effect regime change in Iran. I can't imagine that Israel can do that on its own. This won't be over any time soon.

About 15 years ago, someone got promoted suggesting that the parachutes on the KC135 wasted space. They were removed.
Dumb stupid idea then. Could they have saved this crew? Who knows. But would be nice to have the option.
