It was shocking to see troops on our streets after 1/6. I have lived in several countries where there were coups, so the images of a sustained military presence in and around the US capitol was especially disturbing to me. During the days after 1/6, I got more calls and text/FB messages from family and friends overseas than in my whole life. Nobody could believe that this was happening in America. The whole world saw it for what it was--why can't half of the country see it for what it is?
