TACA autism group has cultish feel to me

Anybody get anything useful out of this group? Seems laden with an anti-vaccine vibe to me.

I love, love, love TACA! I have a local mentor and attend local meetings to discuss our kids amazing progress with biomed. I don't think they are overwhelmingly anti-vac, though I know many of the parents saw their kids regress into autism after a vaccine. But I think that's true of the autism community in general, and not specific to TACA.

Biomed. Another sign of a cult.

Totally unproven!

If you want to talk about cults, let's talk about the CDC. Covering up the data they had that showed a higher risk of autism in african american boys who got the MMR. They've knowingly been poisoning our children, then feeding families lies and pressuring them to drink their cool aide. It's despicable and reminds me of what they did in Tuskegee, Alabama. What else have they covered up? What other data have they been manipulating?

Hundreds of independent research teams have reviewed the alleged link between MMRs and vaccines in every possible population. No one has found a link. It's not there. Not for AA boys, not for anyone. Dr. Wakefield faked his data on the original study. Don't buy into the conspiracy theories.

Hi, troll. No, it's not anything like Tuskegee.

Vaccinations are not experiments on human subjects. The debate with the CDC study is a statistical one:
http://www.cdc.gov/vaccinesafety/Concerns/Autism/cdc2004pediatrics.html

The subset of patients actually used to draw the conclusion showing that there isn't a link is actually a more reliable, rich data source than everyone who was recruited to the study. They excluded those without birth certificates.

Wakefield is the fraud--and his number of patients in his infamous study--9, 6 included for the "article" 3 already showing signs of autism.

You're right. Hundreds of studies have failed to find a link between the MMR and autism... Hundreds of studies supported by the CDC and the vaccine manufacturers. Now we know at least one of those CDC studies saw a link between MMR and autism, then deceivingly reduced their sample size in a post hoc analysis so their statistical analysis wouldn't be able to show a significant effect of the shots. How many other studies has the CDC manipulated?

I suspect you work for the CDC. Dismissing the logical arguments of others with name calling (eg. troll) is a typical tactic to try to suppress the valid insights of others. Unfortunately for you, this issue will not go away despite your tactics. Get ready for a wild ride.

Well then, I suggest you start reading beyond just the headlines.

Hey soldier, the war is over. Sorry no one gave you the news.

Can the vaccine war go elsewhere? Does the time and energy belong there?

So, TACA is a fraud, then? Just all "Those horrible CDC folks and big pharma gave my kid autism?"

The CDC and vaccine manufacturers have not supported studies in England and every other developed country.

You're just wrong.

Exactly. Could I believe some sort of American coverup conspiracy? Yes. There's a high interest in having vaccines so disease doesn't run rampant in this country.

But I don't believe for a minute that every doctory in EVERY country could be part of the conspiracy.

Also, the antivaccine crowd is jumping on that survey, but what they don't say is that in many subgroups, kid were LESS likely to have autism if they were vaccinated.
