That is incredibly hurtful for a card that is disseminated to the world. As a mom of one who probably can't have a second, thank you for making me feel worse than I already do.

I have two kids and totally agree it's so tone deaf. "Completes our family" is fine but "makes us a family" -- just yuck. Don't forget she also said on Ellen that one kid is a hobby and two is parenting.

For ppl saying this PP is overreacting, she isn't saying she's triggered by every card with two kids. It's this weird message about what constitutes a family. And all the worse bc they put on this very "aware" and empathetic front.

She actually said this? She really is just insufferable!

No, someone had told her that. It's not a direct quote.

She repeated the statement and agreed with it on Ellen.

She repeated what was said to her but don’t recall her offering an opinion.

Exactly. I don't recall her "agreeing" with that piece of advice. If anything, she shared it with sort of with a head-shake?

Why the hell would she even repeat that? At 40 years old does she not have more common sense than that? She should at least have enough media training not to say such nonsense. And then to double down on it with the card. I'd expect more from someone who had a traumatic miscarriage.

Well, how old are you? Why don't you have enough common sense to stop spouting your nonsense.

There's no justifying what she said and now repeated on more than one ovvasion. Period.

There's no justifying your repeatedly deranged behavior. Period. Unplug, unclench, and go get a life. You will never convince the sane majority of the world to be just as deranged as you are about Meghan.

What's deranged is defending the claim that you aren't a family until you have 2 kids.

Lol…tell us what else is wrong with the photo.

Archie is not a central part of the photo, all eyes are led to Meghan Harry and Lillebet

Anyone who has a problem with that family photo is deranged and unhappy. I hope you find peace in 2022.

+1 repeating and sharing that view to a huge audience. Ugh

It’s a message about what constitutes their family. Why are you guys taking this so deeply personally? It’s sad.

+1. The reality is that for most people with two engaged parents your life doesn’t change that much with 1. I mean it changes but you still like, go to happy hours, your life does not revolve around children, your child’s life revolves around you. This changes with two kids. I’m sure there are exceptions but this isn’t a criticism of one child households simply an observation. I’ve never understood why the no child or single child family’s feelings are so much more important than the rest of us. People express themselves imperfectly but jeez we all have to learn to take crap less personally

When someone holds themselves out as a public figure, the Public is entitled to have reactions.

Your life doesn’t change that much when you have a baby. Lol. I’ve heard it all now.

NP dumb response. I’m generally a defender of Meghan and willing to give her the benefit of the doubt, but even I agree it was a dumb and thoughtless thing to say! I have two kids so I’m not taking it personally, but like her, I had a miscarriage in between them that caused me to wonder if the second would happen. She should have enough EQ to realize her statement is offensive!

Nothing in my life has been harder than having my first child. It is a radical lifestyle change. Who has an infant and believes that "the child's life revolves around you"? LOL. Going from 1 to 2 was comparatively easy.

Um, yeah, no. 0 to 1 is a much bigger lifestyle transition than 1 to 2.

I guess it depends on the baby and parents. For us 0-1 was a cakewalk. 1-2 fundamentally altered our lifestyle and 2-3 basically meant we have almost no vestiges of our old life.

All anyone has to comment on is their own experience which just makes it stupid for anyone to take what anyone says about this stuff seriously. It’s different for everyone in ways that are hard to comprehend as different from your own lived experience

To explain for people confused about why anyone rational would react so strongly to their holiday card: The language on the card is dumb, but the deranged people freaking out about her statement and supposedly taking it personally are just doing that because all their racist posts from last night got deleted, so they are thrashing around trying to find a way to express their hate without getting deleted for racism. Hence the bizarre overreaction to a holiday card. This also goes for the creepy people who were picking apart the appearances of the kids.
