| Our au pair asked us this - she would often drive our kids to and from camp & see the same moms in the same expensive workout gear at both drop off & pick up & wondered why -- it was clear they hadn't worked out in the time in between. |
| Because it's comfortable? |
|
Easy.
|
| It drives me nuts, and I'm a SAHM!! Not that I'm the most fashionable person, but still!! |
Why??!!??!! |
| Well, looks better than sweats or leisure suits, comfortable, easy. |
| There was actually a piece on this on the Today Show over the w/e. Yoga pants are the new jeans and jeans are on the outs. |
| Of all the "why do some people..." questions that we could ask in today's messed up world, this ranks pretty far down the list of what should be putting your knickers in a twist. Some people prioritize comfort over style. Who cares. |
I have to be in a suit or business attire all day. On weekends, I wear "workout gear" (yoga pants, etc.) all day. If I could, I would wear "workout gear" all day, every day. I don't blame SAHMs one bit. Just a little jealous is all
|
| Who cares? Not really sure why it would drive you nuts. As for me with 3 kids at home and 2 dogs I am inevetably getting something wiped/spilled/puked on me. Why would I get dressed in nice clothes for that lol |
| because it's super comfortable! I'm a WOHM that works from home twice a week. On the days I work from home, I wear workout clothes. I probably am not even going to work out. But damnit if yoga pants aren't the most comfortable things ever! |
I can't imagine jeans will ever be "out" altogether. Different styles in jeans, yes (like we don't wear acid wash anymore). Personally, I'm a SAHM and won't wear Yoga pants unless I am doing yoga. |
+1. I wear business suits and high heels all day long. It is quite a relief to put on flip flops or sneakers on weekends
|
Acid wash is back among the youngsters, FYI. It has a different name now. |
Gross, really? I have a 14 year old, but he doesn't care about fashion. |
