Yep, this. Johnson knows what actually being an informant means. But that doesn’t matter, and he knows it. He just needed to put a talking point out there for maga to latch on to. |
Michael Wolf says that Epstein thought Trump was the one who ratted him out in 2008. That's when they had their falling out. Supposedly Epstein took Trump to look at a property Epstein wanted to buy. Trump then overbid Epstein and bought it for himself. But, Trump was on the edge of another bankruptcy at the time and shouldn't have been able to afford it. Epstein suspected it was money laundering for a Russian oligarch and threatened to expose it. Trump then supposedly tipped off the FBI about Epstein's pedo stuff. Two years later Trump sold that property to a Russian oligarch for a 100% profit. |
It should be emphasized that Trump was engaged in money laundering for a Russian oligarch and only notified the FBI about Epstein because of his own illicit behavior |
Laundering and asset payments. |
| How is all of this not more prominent? How is it acceptable? |

Today's article in the NYT Magazine on JP Morgan and Epstein is a must-read. Long, but very readable.

Reality: Trump is actually Aunt Harriet. |
Of course Trump could only have ratted Epstein out if Trump was involved enough in Epsteins ring to know details of what was going on… |

Just a tidbit from the NYT article:
"That August, Staley attended a Hamptons fund-raiser and was struck by the crowd’s composition. “The ages between husband and wives would have fit in well with Jeffrey,” he told Erdoes in an email. She replied that Epstein’s name had come up at an event the night before. An acquaintance noted how another prominent New York businessman liked to surround himself with beautiful assistants. “Lots of comparisons to JE,” Erdoes wrote, adding that people were “laughing about Jeffrey.” " It confirms for me that at the time, predatory men were feted and socially accepted, and it didn't really matter how old the girls were. |
Well, accepted by a certain crowd who profitted off him. I wouldn't say universally accepted. |

You all need to read the NYT article.
It's clearly going after Jamie Dimon, head of JP Morgan, and a few of his top executives, as well as Epstein's personal JP banker Nelson. I very much hope he resigns with build-up of public pressure after this stellar work of investigative journalism. Epstein isn't the sole criminal here. Financiers who turn a blind eye allow them to operate and oppress and threaten vulnerable victims. Dimon, Cutler, Erdoes (a woman!), Nelson need to go. |
| ^ and Staley, of course. |
