I'm not defending Trump, but I am truly sick of almost everything he does being described as racist, misogynistic, etc regardless of what he says or does. Those words lose their power and meaning when overused.

So the translation here is "I am just fine modeling racism for my children"

PP here. Why am I not surprised at your response? Whether you want to believe it or not, I loathe any comment or action that's racist and hurtful because I work with kids from all kinds of backgrounds every day. I do think that it would be far more effective to call him out for his more egregious comments and behaviors. Just my 2 cents.

If you aren't actively calling it out at this point, then you are supporting it. Silence = complicity.

PP here. You're twisting my words and the meaning of what I wrote to try to make a point. I never said I was being silent or a supporter.

I was once around the police station and there were numerous dead rats rotting on the sidewalk. In broad daylight. With people walking over them nonchalantly.

An American president should not talk that way and say the things he said, like "no human being would want to live e there", about other Americans.

Actually, that’s exactly what an American president should say. If you hide the problems they won’t be addressed. In the next few days, all sorts of aid will be rushed to Baltimore. It is, of course, short term and will have little effect. The rub is to really focus effort on Baltimore’s problems rather than having false outrage that the truth about the city has been revealed.

NOPE. You DO NOT get to play it both ways. If other politicians are not allowed to criticize America -- and are told to go back to where they come from -- the president doesn't get to criticize it either.

You people are such hypocrites. It wasn't even been 2 weeks since the whole ruckus over congresswomen daring to point out problems.

"Love it or leave it" my @ss.

Physician, heal thyself.

Dp back from suspension for defending myself against a rabid lib here. Cummings has been in Congress for several terms. He has been in a position of power to 'heal thyself' yet, he continues to criticize the border partrol's policies and the civil rights of those in his community were systemically violated. For decades. This President made changes that will stop the separation of American families due to over zealous prosecutions. I never heard him complain about that yet, here he is complaining about words as the President seeks to bring families in Cummings' district back together.

Sometimes I wonder why you all call yourselves politicL when you are simply Machiavellian and do it horribly.

Does anyone know why Baltimore fell on such difficult times? Drugs? Liberal rule? Republican neglect?

So what?

Don't hear the President calling out McConnell for Rand Paul or overseeing their infestation.

If a district is poor it doesn't mean it has a rat problem. See Manhattan.

So now the word infestation means racist, racist to what, rats?

Legalized racial segregation. There’s a link above that does a good job of explaining how certain neighborhoods fell on such difficult times.

By the way, Baltimore has some very wealthy neighborhoods. Did you m know that?

Have you never been to Manhattan? Certainly you’ve never ridden in its rat infested subway.

Paris has a rat infestation.

What a powerful statement!

Why not Trump? Why not the Kushners? They actually own apartments there. They should move into one of them. Why won’t they?

Industrial jobs ended.
White blue collar people died off and left city to poor blacks
Great Society programs enslaved black population to low level government subsistence
Crack arrived
Crime economy developed around crack
Renewal programs around Inner Harbor, Orioles Stadium forced blacks further into irrelevance
Johns Hopkins is given permission to form its own armed security force to protect patients and employees from rising crime in Baltimore

The former governor who ran against Hillary Clinton and who was identified in a news photo after a debate with Clinton as an “unidentified man” is outraged
by Trump’s remarks.

The current Republican Governor is wishy washy.

Various politicians are upset

The 20 something Dem candidates are trying to ignore Trump’s comments just as they will ignore Baltimore should one be elected as president.

Really, so because Trump has a problem with Baltimore, Obama should abandon all his plans and set up shop on Baltimore? Why doesn't Trump? Y'all are some racist a-holes.

And then the next time Trump is a racist POS about some other place we all have to move there. Because everything we do has to be dictated by Orange Toddler's racist rantings. That's how it works in this fascist-lite land.

Michelle Obama had the perfect comeback, without even mentioning Trump or the tweet.

On #NationalDanceDay, I'm shouting out the Lethal Ladies, a Baltimore STEP team who I saw perform back in 2017. I’m so proud of you all—and everyone who’s dancing today!

Ok

So apparently the girls can step on the rats, killing them during their performances.

really? Instead of addressing the issue - people living in squalor - she gives a shout out to a step team.

She apparently likes to "dance" around the topic.

Give me a break.
