Coach is first-rate, very demanding. Can ride girls hard during games, but is very available to meet with parents, takes an interest in player total development. Girls love playing for him, even though he can be vocal and sometimes negative during games.
They play possession-style offense - trying to build out of the back, using goalkeeper to reverse field, rather than relying on kick and run or long balls.
Girls get along well - they had three players from outside the club join the team this year, and are still getting the hang of playing together. One player is from Loudon and her dad still coaches there.
They have a forward who has some of the best soccer IQ out there; one of the top keepers in the area; two strikers that are very fast but struggle to possess the ball; and a center back that has a cannon of a leg
They were missing one player and had two sick players for the Loudon game
Not sure what happened at Jeff Cup, but the sense I got overall was that everyone thought it was a very strong team that is going to continue to improve.

The bolded tells me this is not a good Club.

Any place that relies on a cannon at center back is not the place you want to be. My kid is the smallest on their team and plays the entire game at center back. I don't think the kid has ever 'cannon-shot it' down the field. The kid can take players on, distribute the ball, through balls on the ground right on teammate's feet, give and gos---and is out wide to accept the ball from the goalie. If the kid were there to just boot it out of the back, I'd be walking.

Good luck keeping your child as a center back if she is small and doesn't have a cannon leg. To be honest Center backs needs to have all of those things and Soccer IQ to understand when to use that cannon to advance the ball up field. Remember Center backs should be trying to disrupt the ball, they should always scan from the front to back always looking for that front player first then re directing out the back when that fails or there is a better option. Best center backs are those who can read the field and adapt quickly to create goal scoring opportunities and advancement from the back. Have her play a cannon right on one of your open forwards and see if A they can handle it and B how many people notice your kid. It is hard to get noticed as a center back how is she standing out? Everyone remembers the center back that makes the best advancements in the game. Everything else you mentioned is all center backs only a handful can actually see the field and the field as a chest board using the players as chest pieces to advance out the back. Good Luck

Also, a while a "cannon of a leg" may be noticeable at age 12, EVERY center back has one by the time girls are in their mid-teens. My DD was known for her cannon (and played CB) when she was younger -- it was a big deal then to be able to put the ball far up the field consistently. But now all the backs can do that, and really just about everyone on her DA club has a cannon....

You are dumb and the CB wasted valuable technical developmental years losing touches being locked in as a CB because of size and a prepubescent big leg. Good luck when other more skilled players, grow and take your CBs position because as they get older more skill is required of the CB than just a cannon leg.

Oh the team Arlington red. Their back line will play kickball with little pressure. Basically athletic but not very skilled(unable to keep possession). How are they doing this year? This and next year will see the more technical teams start to separate from the just athletic teams.

Explain why VDA U13, U14 and U15 teams are each top 3 ECNL MA and BRYC teams cannot cannot ACL top 4? So much for following that name.

That's right soccer at the highest level involves kicking it as hard as possible up to field. keep preaching.

It’s definitely not McLean Green. We played against them twice and they are a good possession type team. They don’t do “kick and run”.

Arlington noticeably decline or maybe it was just not improving as quickly as the other top teams in the spring last year. I wonder if this was just a bump(10-11 years olds) or other teams catching up physically?

They have declined on the boys' side as well.

Hardly - They are a big physical team. They may not kick and run like some others, but no way I’d characterize them as a possession style team.
