1000% agree!! Kane is a few years older than me, and he's never been hip, but he was at least relatable when he was married. I actually really enjoyed hearing stories about Natasha and the girls. I literally remember exactly where I was when I heard his daughter Sophie was born. I remember when he announced Natasha's pregnancy. I really enjoyed them as a family. Now...he's gotten super creepy since filing for divorce. I cringe listening to him at times (though I don't listen much lately). He's much better at the family/dad/devoted husband role than he is as the newly single/on the prowl/horny guy. Ew, gross.

His sidekicks are snoresville!! Samy and Sarah could run circles, backwards, while blindfolded around Intern John and Rose.

Well, just speculation... The beef keeping Danni off the air might just be between Danni and the execs that make the decisions. I guess it's possible that Kane misses her and wants her back and they are on good terms but he is just under strict instruction to keep quiet about the whole thing... Again, I don't think Kane is as powerful regarding his show as people might think. He is not Danni's boss.

Though it might be weird, she might come back and they might say that she was gone based on a contractual... idk, misunderstanding, hiatus, etc that prevented Danni from being on the air (maybe blame the union again) and they couldn't say anything but now everything is cleared and they are good to go and "yay, the family is back together" yadda yadda yadda.

Thank you for saying that! So many people think Danni, Rose, and IJ work FOR Kane, but they don't! He's not their boss! Sarah confirmed this on her podcast a few weeks back.

is this fact? doesnt seem likely. i dont think kane could ever feel outshined by her. she has a pathetic commercial gig basically. if anything was adversely impacting the show, it was her lack of dedication and commitment

Not just the TLC thing, but she was featured in that documentary and in that magazine...for a while I felt like she was getting featured left and right for baby/pregnancy stuff.

I also remember one day she was out bc of some kind of pregnancy issue. I listened back then still and would do the podcast during my job. He mentioned every 10 minutes that Danni was out due to baby related complications and HE made the call for her to stay home because HE cares so much and it is so important for HIM for her to be healthy. Literally every 10 mins. I was so annoyed by it. 1) We get it, she's not there shut up. 2) Yes yes you are such a great person, you pretty much saved her life. All hail Saint Kane.

i seriously doubt he cared at all about that stuff. i think she's become even more erratic, emotional, argumentative, defensive, and overall an unpleasant human to be around ever since she announced that she and slim are divorcing. clearly for months she and john have not liked each other. and its seemed lately like she and kane dont even get along as much either. im sure theres been plenty of arguments, animosity, and ganging up on each other behind the scenes and now shes finally kicked off

Mark and Kris were on 99.5, they got canned, Kane comes in.

I know people have said he brings in advertising dollars, but this is radio, one of the riskiest businesses out there, so the entire show could be gone. As others have said, this is a PR nightmare, and enough time has passed for iHeart to come up with a plan to do something.

Of course, nothing could happen, Danni leaves (well, it gets announced) and life goes on.

We're Mark and Kris #3 in the market when they got fired? I highly doubt it. No one is going to dump the highest rated morning show of that genre over this.

Similarly to Kane who does score #1 in some demos when the numbers are released, Mark and Kris claimed to be #1 in their main demo (women 18-34). They probably were telling the truth. This was the statement released when they were fired:

When they got fired, the program director was someone who had previously worked with Kane, and iheart (Clear Channel at the time) probably saw Kane as a younger, hipper person to bring to a major market. If you recall as well, Teapot Tim, who was Mark and Kris' version of the sidekick, but older, left the show a few months before when his contract expired.

I think that is when Samy came in as I believe he was on the show prior to Kane. If I recall, he was referred to as "slacker samy" before just becoming Samy. Maybe there is hope John can lose the Intern title one day then as well.

Mark and Kris moved together down to Jacksonville FL at the CHR/Top 40 station down there, WAPE. Kris stayed for a few years before moving on, Mark's been there going on ten years and has had a handful of female co-hosts in Krissy G's old spot. He's got a hell of a thing going on Snapchat right now as well, plus a syndicated Sunday night talk show on right wing stations, which also brought him in the stable of filling in on Herman Cain's late morning show.

Agreed. They originally said Danni was going to be the face of TLC, host red carpet events, etc. Up to now she has done none of that, and what red carpet events does TLC even do??? I guess they could do something for the White House correspondents dinner in late April/early May since it is in DC, but if she does not, then that was really overstated or they don't see her as any valuable asset. The most noteworthy thing she did was spilling the Duggars coming back to TLC, which she was not even supposed to do.

She is purposeful, but she always irritated me as she stands up for these causes for like 1 day, then forgets about them and moves on to the next hot topic so she can lead the charge and get attention.

Some Examples
1) She was all in to the water situation in Michigan for like 2 days, then never mentioned it again.

2) She constantly stated that she went back to her real curly hair because she wanted to show her kids that it is important to be real and natural, and then posts photoshopped pictures.

3) She said she was taking the TLC job to make extra money for her kids college tuition, and then brags about buying a BMW that needs high end fuel, blames the nanny again for letting the car run out of gas while they are driving it, then begs listeners to bring her gas at the side of the road (but remember only 93 fuel is accepted!).

4) Asks listeners to give her money for her cousin who she never met's headstone, then never followed up that the money was used for the cause. I wouldn't expect or want a picture of the grave, but at least something to show the donation went to the cause would have been nice.

And notice the trend on blaming the nanny for things (the fuel, the dammmn danielle thing)...She is just a total contradiction of herself constantly.
