What does the expression "the exact form" of a test mean? Sounds bizarre. I have never heard that expression before in regards a test or exam in any educational setting. The opaqueness leaves a lot to the dcum wild imagination. |
If there are questions about the meaning of this statement, one can send an email to FCPS and ask for a fuller explanation. Since FCPS is the source of the statement, they would be the best source for elaboration on its meaning. |
Let us know what you find out. I know eduspeak/spin when I see it. I am not the gullible kind. Good luck on your digital journey. |
Actually, it was the poster at 21:36 who was puzzled about the meaning of the FCPS statement. Going to the source for elucidation is always a good idea. |
Where have you been for the last 27 pages of this thread? It clearly means that a vast criminal conspiracy of scamming, cheating parents and criminally minded teachers have been providing EXACT answers to the NNAT and COGAT tests to parents who prep their children for AAP and that this has been going on for years. The conspiracy and corruption clearly reaches up to the highest levels of the FCPS system and once the story breaks it will make Watergate seem like a tempest and a teapot. |

Who, what, when, where is the source?
Deep throat. |
Is FCPS a person?
Just send an email to FCPS for the correct information. One really can do this. Honestly, one can. Try it. Tell them, I said so. |

I THINK that the SAT develops new tests all the time, but the IQ tests given in the early years are frequently the same--or, at least they used to be when I was a teacher. Sometimes the different forms might be just a juggling around of the questions--and sometimes they may have totally different questions. Developing a standardized IQ test is very difficult. The test must be given to test groups and validated. It is a very complex process. The tests are not cheap--but once they are compromised as they have been in FCPS, it is no longer valid or reliable. It has been a number of years since I administered one of these tests, but we took security of these tests quite seriously. Apparently, some people have corrupted the system. Talk about values. What is more important--honesty or AAP? |
Hail teacher and PP:
What are the different forms of the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT ability) ? As a teacher I assume you know precisely what different "forms" means. |
Does Princeton, Kaplan, Barron's, Blue Book and Spark Notes all use the same SAT form or do these entities use different SAT forms? |
Hint to student/teacher
Answer the questions clearly and directly sans bullshitting or receive a grade deduction |
Clearly what is wrong: Getting a copy of the exact test, and having the answers pre-written. Based on the memo from carol horn, that exact thing happened. This is what everyone is objecting too.
Clearly what is not wrong: reading to kids, encouring things that result in creative and active learning. Everything else is the middle ground |
Hmm, I wonder what the meaning of the word "is" is? It is so hard to understand what words mean when I just can't figure out what the words mean. This is sooo confusing:"form", "format", "exact", "same"! Whatever can they all possibly mean?! It is just sooooo difficult to understand! |
Sounds like prep is ok as long as you not using the exact questions from the administered test.
Now, that we are all clear our children can admirably go about reaching their potential through studying and preparation for their classes and tests. |
