I didn’t know the dr was black (I am a diff poster) I have a hard time imagining a South Asian going to a black dr unfortunately due to prejudice |
Posters on this thread are wild. The biological parents are not elderly. The Fertility Center of Orlando was only open around 9 years. It opened in 2017. Even assuming they were in their 40s in 2017, they wouldn't be elderly now, less than 10 years later. |
|
Y’all need to simmer down. The law favors the birth parents, so even if the genetic parents had the money, it would have been a waste of money. Both parents made an agreement such that the birth parents retain custody, but the genetic parents will be involved in the child’s life.

“ "Secure a biological child" ”

+1 you would think this wouldn’t need to be explained |
+1 the biological parents are also stunned. And they didn’t have 9 months to prepare for a new baby. They got a call out of thin air that someone has their baby that they weren’t missing or looking for. Imagine if you’ve ever done ivf you could get a call like this at any time even decades later. I guess this is why people destroy embryos and other people are against ivf. We have no idea what’s happened to the biological parents in the time since their ivf. What if both are not living or one has a serious illness and is currently passing away. What if they never had a biological child of their own and adopted? What if they are staying anonymous because they also have someone else’s baby and they don’t want it to get out? |
And you know this how exactly? |
What if they were 50s or the father was 60s? |
What if they were aliens? Yes I'm sure viable eggs came from a 50yr old woman. |
Who are the dead people in your wild scenario? |
55 and up is elderly on DCUM. Old enough that you can't trust your grandchildren with them. |
The people supporting the gestational mother have resorted to making up bizarre scenarios in which she was not only entitled to keep the baby, but where it was practically the only option. One such scenario that they’ve dreamed up is one in which the genetic parents are so old that they’re on death’s door and are likely to die at any minute, such that they’re likely to leave this baby an orphan. They’re also claiming that the genetic parents may be child molesters. |
Thank you, Captain Obvious, for posting a link that was already posted in this thread and typing up what everyone already knows. Perhaps you can start a new thread about how water is wet, or how Dcumlandia is filled with posters with an over abundance of confidence. |
Why not if she had the egg reserves? Women can get pregnant into their 50s naturally and with ivf help. For women over 40 they test them but they don’t have hard age cut offs for who can get ivf. Janet Jackson had a baby somehow |
Have you ever done IVF? You keep your embryos in storage and often move them around. The clinic was surely storing older embryos. |
