I hope not, but you may be right. I always thought Anabelle Wallis (another willowy blonde with a strong nose) was beautiful, and I was so disappointed (and distracted) when she came back to Peaky Blinders with a totally different nose. Seeing all these pictures of Carolyn now I am struck by how Italian she looks. She has a similar nose to Stefani Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga.

It really is against every fiber of my being to post this because I don't want to sound mean, but the resurgance of all the photos of them strikes me every.single.time in the same way: they were both pretty average looking people.

I love rewatching movies from the 90s because everyone looked more true to my memories of the era. Movies today are just maximizing CGI and plastic surgery.

People are still obsessed with Carolyn because she was expert at not over sharing, and had impeccable personal style, whether it’s to ones taste or not. No one sane thinks Markle has that, and Harry has tons of evidence of unusually bad character. I don’t think anyone is fixed on them, but they have to claim that they are subject to the kind of actual obsession that Diana and JFKJ were subject to. It’s not true or close to true.

Some people just have that it factor and Carolyn was one of them. Hence she was able to lock down the country’s most eligible bachelor despite not being particularly connected, pedigreed, or conventionally beautiful. That’s what fascinates people about her.

She was from an upper middle class family in a fancy Connecticut suburb, and she was pretty high up in Calvin Klein. And she was incredibly polished, at least appearance-wise, and I would assume she had a certain demeanor given her celebrity clientele. It kinda makes sense to me!

I think Meghan has a similar signature style. But agree that they overshare too much to maintain any mystique.

Meagan has cited CBK as one of her style icons. Meagan dresses fine. She actually reminds me of CBK bc she's usually very disciplined in what she wears (ie she now has a formula and she mostly sticks to it). There will never be another Carolyn, but Meagan doesn't have bad style, like the PP upthread is suggesting.

I’m not suggesting it, I’m saying it. Meghan has had garbage taste, zero tailoring, more often than not. She’s an affiliate linker; a wannabe millennial girl boss. She has no taste and no real style.
