As an unaffiliated voter, I’m curious why neither party is interested in nominating good candidates. Lately I’ve been voting Dem, but the options are generally underwhelming. At least I can vote for Spanberger with no reservations, I guess I should be happy about that.

The description of Jones as a nepo baby is spot on. He's the spoiled child of two well connected Black judges in Tidewater. He's had everything handed to him on a silver platter, and he's behaved like a teenager his entire life.

He doesn't really wish harm on Todd Gilbert or his family; it's just how an immature brat who spends too much time online talks. It's not that he's violent so much as that he's completely and utterly unqualified for AG. The people who defend him know this; they simply don't want to offend his parents and other Black Democratic leaders from the Hampton Roads area.

Unfortunately for the VA Democrats, people are watching and unless the Democrats cut him loose this cycle they are going to flip their votes for other races to punish the Democrats for their indulgence of Jones. Yes, it's going to help Miyares run for Governor in 2029, but Jones is simply unfit.
