Gonzaga is in big trouble….all those years of no recruiting coupled with no money for lax kids. Will be a .500 team or worse in 2025 and 2026. They can only hope that their solid 2028 class develops quickly. 2026 and 2027 classes are weak. |
I think lots of people are saying the 2027 class is weaker across most schools. |
Bullis as well. Unless that overrated 2025 class does something this year the future of this program will be rolled by the likes of Landon or any team for that matter. Bullis 2026, 2027 and 2028 classes for Bullis are suspect for the same reasons as GZ (no money, no recruiting or no coaches). The Bears will own the IAC and SJC will own WCAC. GC and PVI will battle for second! Spring will be here before you know it. |
I did not think that GC and PVI did much for recruiting and/or money? |
I don't disagree, but it's odd because the 2027 NL and ML club teams are relatively stacked compared to the 25, 26, 28 and 29 NL and ML clubs. Nationally the 2027 class is considered to be very strong, and both NL and ML 2027 club teams are highly competitive. Perhaps those NL and ML kids are spread too thin across the big privates, and the 2027 DCE team being pretty weak doesn't help across the region. |
2026 NL #13, 2026 DCE #14 - both Top 15 Teams 2027 NL #1 2027 DCE #50 not so good lost best player to NL 2027 ML #11 Would agree the players are spread out and would think most found homes at SJC and the others to Bullis in the 2027 class. Think SJC got the better of them for sure! |
Agree. I just think some schools make a concerted effort and others don't even try. |
2026 NL and DCE teams are highly ranked, but nationally the 26 class is considered weaker than the 27s. Make of that what you will. SJC definitely got more of the 27 NL and ML players than anyone else. And some of those kids are studs. I don't know much about the SJC team this year, but if SJC considers their 27 class weak, then everyone who plays them is in trouble. |
The problem is that SJC has too many players. kids will never get to play. I don't know what they and their parents are thinking. |
They carry around 90 players during the season. It’s too much. Too many players fall through the cracks. |
I think you will begin to see kids transferring out of SJC after this year.
Wes has clearly established the Cadets as the elite program of the DC area but its not for everyone. Families and kids will realize by the end of their sophomore year if SJC is really the program for them. |
Meh, it's really hard to get kids to transfer once they've established friendships and a routine. The 27's are going to get a lot of time this year given how easy the SJC schedule is for 7 games. The other 9 will be tough. It'll be just enough to keep them around. Speaks counts on that thinking and doesn't care. He knows parents will be extremely reluctant to move a kid to 3 schools in 3 years. |
What schools actually give out money anymore? |
That guy doesn’t care one iota about his players. Assistant coaches and other strength and conditioning coaches do everything. I don’t think he is in the building for more than two hours a day. |
Wow! You sound like you know. Please do share you experience so other families don't make the same mistake. My impression of WS loves his players and does whatever he can for them and clearly is a great recruiter given all the lax bros head to SJC. |
