If so why didn’t Biden/Harris action before now?

They tried. The GOP shot it down in the House.

We need a citation for this claim.

Her newest add doubles down and promises price controls, including housing.

How is she planning to control housing prices? I thought she was going to give people money to buy houses which would drive up housing prices?

She isn't going to "control it" but rather authorize more federal money to states to get more housing built. Though some argue she isn't going far enough to meet demand:

That is not going to popular at all and the Supreme Court will probably strike it down. Chevron deference is dead and anything HUD does to affirmatively fair housing will be determined as impermissible by SCOTUS.

Groceries cost too much and it’s hurting ordinary families.

President Harris will fix the problem by capping the cost of many ordinary consumer foods like milk and eggs. Plus, she will use the DOJ to go after companies that charge too much for products. That’s what price gouging is.

Actually that is not what price gouging is. Price gouging is when people greatly increase the price of goods when there is an emergency that spikes demand way above its normal level. Some states have price gouging laws, but they apply only to declared disasters like hurricanes or floods.

Going after goods providers for high prices in normal demand times is not anti-price gouging, it is price controls unless they are going after providers for price collusion, which is illegal already.

The problem is, these companies jacked up the prices during Covid (an emergency) and then never reverted them, and have the record profits quarter over quarter, to show for it.

Kamala Harris's policies. No price gouging was not the "first" one.
