Hmmm Not even the best this year much less all time

Common opponents and eliminating situations where both teams won:

Briar: Freedom 1.00/ Indy .500
Riverside: Freedom 1.00/ Indy .000
Battlefield: Freedom .000/ Indy .000

Looks like there is a coach in Loudoun that has a better record against common opponents. How is the Indy coach better?

Best of All-time in Loudoun? Pretty Sure the Freedom Coach would defer that recognition to the Dominion Coach and Riverside Coach, even Coach Young at Briar several years ago.

I would guess none of them think about it or care. Freedom, Dominion, and Riverside coach are all educators and do it for the right reasons and help kids. Getting harder to find good coaches now a days. All of those programs listed are extremely fortunate.

They returned a ton of players from last season, and have the talent. Are they juts not playing well together? They have the ability to turn it around in the playoffs, but will they?

They have zero chance of being an actual contender in Class 5 this year. Riverside has it locked down.

That may be true, but that doesn't mean Riverside has to run up the score like they do. No reason they need to beat people by that much. Have some class.

I’d love nothing more than to see Riverside run the score up by 40 against that trash over at Indy. Not a bigger douche in the sport than their head coach.

+1
rare is there one coach who unifies so many in their dislike of him

it also seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. That whole tree is rotted out from the roots.

The fact that this was a very close game is why INDY is the Loudoun team of the future. Indy would beat Freedom 3/4 times

Basing the best in Loudoun, off what might happen in the future is foolish. While they might be the team of the future, that had been said about this team at the beginning on this season too.

Indy Parent here (please don't blast me, I am asking a question). We saw a ton of commotion at the end of the game Friday vs. Riverside. We are on the other side of the field, I'm curious what happened? Any insight would be great. Thank you.

I was standing by the fence. 43 for Indy had a terrible cheap shot under 10 seconds. Cross check to the head when the player wasn’t looking and didn’t have the ball. Then he was laughing about it in the box when they were sorting out either an ejection or 2 min non releasable. The laughing and cuss word I heard then angered the Riverside coach. Which then prompted a meeting with both coaches and Indy and Riverside ADs. Not sure what was said. I saw the hit on NFHS stream and if that’s not an ejectable hit then I am not sure what is. Completely uncalled for and unsafe. Kind of ruined the end of the game and just left a sour taste throughout the stadium. Unfortunate situation.

I just watched it. It is pretty bad. Not surprising though. Team has no discipline.

Is 43 the pole who sometimes faces off?

Kid didn’t even have the ball. It was behind the play and to the head. That’s why I think it should have been ejectable it had nothing to do with the game. Does anyone know if that kid is ok? He tried to get up and then fell back down.

Any suspensions? Why doesn't the Indy coach stop this from continuing to happen?

I was pretty close to it. I think the Riverside coaches frustration was that no one on the Indy bench (coaches) really reacted to it at all. The video feed they are just standing with their arms crossed. I don’t see anyone going up to 43 and mediating what had just happened.

What was also bad was around 3-4 min left in the game. #1 from Indy threw a stick check to the groin of a Riverside player off-ball. The ref saw it and called a penalty which led to Riversides last goal that made it 10-6. I could be wrong but isn’t this the same player that got suspended already this year?

I am Riverside supporter (so I may be bias, I understand that), but our players never do anything close to that. If one of our players even make a bad penalty, which is VERY rare, coach takes him out of the game and there are consequences. Earlier in the 4th quarter (before this hit took place), #1 for Indy, received a 1 minute un-releasable penalty for hitting one of our players in the groin area, with his stick, away from the play. He was then put back in the game after his time was served. It is my belief that this is the same player that attacked a Broad Run player after the game a few weeks ago. How is this behavior acceptable by the Indy administration, coaches, and their PARENTS? Its unacceptable.
