His unwillingness to be truthful in a court of law. Don’t play word games. He wasn’t impeached for lying to the American people (although he did). It was for what he said under oath. |
Well, 240 years is a pretty good run, as empires go. |
DCUM is so twisted they don't realize the court just protected Biden, not the other way around. |
And what he said or didn't say was pertaining to sex. Let's be clear about it. |
The DOJ is an executive agency and the president is the chief of the executive branch. Policies created by bureaucrats in recent decades are not sacred and do not trump the system as outlined in the constitution. |
So, what’s stopping Biden from drone striking Mar A Lago (and Trump in it) right now for the sake of national security concerns? |
I don't care who they protected; the concept of no man being above the law has gone right out the window. |
I like you!! |
That's not the point. The DOJ has traditionally been independent from the White House when making criminal prosecution decisions - it's one of our democratic norms followed by Presidents of both parties. That is now gone. Kaput. The President can now order DOJ to investigate/prosecute whoever he likes, with no fear of prosecution. You might to read what Nixon did - the Supreme Court now says that's OK. https://www.cnn.com/2017/10/28/politics/justice-department-interference/index.html |
This. Now, did the court protect Biden handlers, the ones calling the shots these days? That's a more interesting question. |
Or refrain from investigating/prosecuting |
Biden should just issue an Executive Order saying felons can’t run for president. Biden should disband SCOTUS as his first official act as King. He should take away their power, apply term limits, and prosecute the Insurrectionist’s wives. And don’t forget to get Seal Team 6 on the schedule. |
DOJ "independence" was always a norm, never a law or regulation.
Norms are done in the United States. If it's not a federal law with very explicit text, it's fair game. Hopefully the Democrats in power wake up to that reality. |
The problem with the Constitution is that it was written by men who believed that people would always deal in good faith. |
Based. |
