That’s a solid win. Battlefield runs the table. |
| Woodson 10 West Springfield 9 OT |
Well, Patriot didn’t stand a chance, but West Potomac got a nice 15-10 win over Southb County. |

I could be wrong, but doesn't Robinson play the lowest seed no matter what? Shouldn't it be Robinson vs Woodson and Lake Braddock vs West Potomac? |
I don't think so - I believe it is a straight up bracket. Both Robinson's website and LaxNumbers has Robinson playing West Potomac. |
| Anyone know the Liberty District playoff schedule? |
| Anyone have the full list of the all patriot district honors? |
It’s like four posts above. First round 5/9, semis 5/12, finals 5/16 Liberty (1) Yorktown (Bye) (4) Herndon v. (5) Washington-Liberty (2) McLean v. (7) Marshall (3) Langley v. (6) Wakefield |

Sorry should have been more clear…completely my fault. Does anyone know what day(s) the games are on?
I know McLean plays on Tuesday night |
| Look at the post right above your question for the answer |
| Likely only two games that matter. McLean/Langley on Friday 5/12 at McLean and Yorktown versus the winner of McLean/Langley on Tuesday 5/16 at Yorktown. Not clear yet if McLean/Langley winner can really test Yorktown. |

Tonight's predictions

Week of May 8 -2023 VA Boys 6A Rankings
1. Yorktown (13-1) Last Week: Def. Chantilly 13-4, Def. Marshall 17-2 Analysis: Yorktown cruised through its final two matches, ending with an impressive 13-wins and no public school losses. With the #1 seed in Liberty, the Patriots earn a first round bye before likely facing Herndon at home on Friday. They should dominate and get a rematch game next week with McLean or Langley for the Liberty district championships. This Week: First Round Bye, Herndon/Washington-Liberty Winner (5/12) (likely) 2. Madison (11-2) Last Week: Def. Westfield 17-1 Analysis: Madison destroyed Westfield giving them their worst loss of the season by far. Looking very solid going into the playoffs and it would be shocking if they did not win the Concorde district championship and get a #1 seed for Regionals. This Week: First Round Bye, South Lakes/Centreville Winner (5/12) 3. Robinson (12-3) Last Week: Def. West Springfield 17-6, Def. Fairfax 17-4 Analysis: Robinson beat West Springfield to go undefeated in district play and grad the #1 seed, then beat Fairfax in the first round of the district tournament. They face West Potomac tonight, a team they crushed in the regular season, before a likely rematch with Lake Braddock on Wednesday. This Week: West Potomac (5/8), Lake Braddock/Woodson (5/10) (likely) 4. Lake Braddock (13-2) Last Week: Def. South County 13-8, Def. Alexandria City 16-3 Analysis: Lake Braddock beat South County to finish with just one loss in the Patriot district and a second place finish. The Bruins topped Alexandria City to score another round with South County before likely getting a shot at revenge against Robinson in a rematch for the district championship. This Week: South County (5/8), Robinson/West Potomac Winner (5/10) (likely) 5. Battlefield (11-3) Last Week: Def. Osbourn 17-1, Def. Patriot 15-7 Analysis: Battlefield cruised past Patriot to finish the season undefeated in district play. We haven’t seen any Cedar Run district tournament brackets but assume that Battlefield will play last place Unity Reed today. This Week: Unity Reed (5/8) 6. McLean (12-2) Last Week: Def. Washington-Liberty 17-5 Analysis: Easy win over W-L capped off an impressive 12-win regular season. The Highlanders face Marshall before a likely rematch with Langley at home on Friday night, which should be a battle after their previous double overtime thriller. This Week: Marshall (5/9), Langley (5/12) (likely) 7. Langley (9-3) Last Week: Def. Herndon 18-5, Def. Wakefield 21-0 Analysis: Dominant win against Herndon with the offense coming out hot and the defense shutting Herndon down. Easy win against Wakefield with an unfortunate back-to-back happening this week. Likely Friday night rematch against rival McLean in the district semifinals should be a good one. This Week: Wakefield (5/9), McLean (5/12) (likely) 8. Oakton (9-5) Last Week: Def. Wakefield 12-3, Def. Chantilly 10-3 Analysis: Beat Wakefield and Chantilly easily to earn a first round bye and hold the spot. We are expecting an Oakton/Madison rematch in the Concorde district finals and will see if the Cougars can perform better the second time around. This Week: First Round Bye, Westfield/Chantilly Winner (5/10) 9. Freedom South Riding (11-3) Last Week: Def. Gainesville 15-7, Def. John Champe 14-10 Analysis: Freedom beat nearest challenger John Champe to grab the #2 seed in the Cedar Run district. Again, we haven’t seen any Cedar Run district tournament brackets but assume that Freedom will play #7 seed Osbourn today. This Week: Osbourn (5/8) 10. West Potomac (9-5) Last Week: Def. Woodson 12-11, Def. South County 15-10 Analysis: West Potomac squeaked by Woodson to tie South County and West Springfield with four district wins, but lost the tie breaker to finish fourth. The Wolverines then got a solid revenge win against South County to advance to the semifinals against Robinson. The Rams won the first contest 16-5 and West Potomac will have to come up with some magic to make this a closer game. This Week: Robinson (5/8) Honorable Mention: John Champe, Cosby, Kellam, South County |
