Low carb recipe

Made a Crustless Spinach Quiche for lunch today and it was really good:

The changes I made:

Added garlic, chilli flakes, only two whole eggs but an additional three egg whites, a sausage patty chopped up, a piece of broiled chicken that was left over from yesterday that I chopped up, about half the cheese the recipe called for - the cheese was a combination of parmesan, romano and pepperjack - again because that is what we had in the fridge.

Would love to have others share low carb recipes that have worked for them.

What ratios do you consider low carb?

Not sure that I follow your question but the main ingredients are all quite low in carbs: spinach, cheese, chicken, sausage patty.

What is the protein/fat/carb ratio you are looking for, or are you trying to find recipes under a certain # of grams of carbs.

I am trying to stay under 50 grams of carbs daily and therefore am looking to find recipes with relatively low carbs and higher amounts of protein.

I can't offer specific ratios because I am not looking at in that context. I do drink a couple of protein shakes just to make sure I get enough protein intake.

If I'm trying to cut carbs, I generally stick with 6 oz of baked fish and a side of high fiber veggies (spinach, asparagus, broccoli) for dinners. Cottage cheese with 1/2 c. of muesli in the morning, protein shake for mid morning snack.

Why would you even include a link to a recipe when you didn't follow it at all?

^^If you look at the Allreicpes website and other similar sites, you will see that the reviews include modifications that people make to improve the recipe or to make it more to their taste.

For example, I don't like a lot of cheese and I also like garlic in my food where it is appropriate. Others make different modifications as will be apparent from the reviews of the recipe.

In case someone does want to follow the recipe. I tend to do this. I follow the recipe the first time, then it make it my own way the next.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am trying to follow a low carb type diet that I can maintain longer term as opposed to just limiting it to the period when I am actually trying to lose weight. Your suggestion is helpful. I take a high protein shake immediately after I work out at the gym.
