IDF: Hamas Rosh Hashanah Attack Thwarted

The IDF is reporting that 30 tunnels have been destroyed thus far and that captured members of Hamas are claiming there was to be a huge attack on Israel planned for the Jewish New Year.

You guys will believe anything. Why only thousands? Why not millions of terrorists? Also, why not sharks with frikin lasers on their frikin heads?

Completely implausible. Hamas would lose almost all of those fighters and then Israel would attack Gaza and there would be no defenders. Hamas wants to fight urban warfare as it is now.

I wish you were right but I think you underestimate their hatred. However, even if they were to send 10 suicide bombers through the tunnels into 10 different neighborhoods, it would be catastrophic and Hamas has certainly shown its willingness to lose 10 of its militants..

No one underestimates the hate in the soul of the Israel. Look how many Israelis have invaded Gaza. The Palestinians have a right to self defense. Hopefully the Palestinians will be able to destroy the invading Israelis.

No one seems bothered by the fact that in order to solve what appears to be a lone wolf crime, Israel began bulldozing houses and rounding up hundreds of Palestinians, all during Ramadan.

The actual number is over 200 terrorists using multiple tunnels simultaneously, with the objective to capture/kill as many civilians as possible, which is where PP got thousands. They planned to kill thousands of Israelis.

1). Tunnels have been found under many Kubbutzim, supporting the prisoner's confessions
2) on July 19th, two IDF soldiers were killed in a surprise assault by Hamas through one tunnel from Gaza into the Eshkol district of Israel

What is your source? I don't know about tunnels under Kubbutzim. I know about the July 19 attacks. Hamas says the fighters waited for six hour for a military target rather than immediately attacking a softer civilian target.

Okay, so, I'm not surprised. A "simple google search" showed that just about every right-wing blog is publishing the same article linking back eventually to a Maariv article quoting a single anonymous source. Let's just say that I don't find that persuasive and let me reiterate my initial reaction. You guys will believe anything.
