I will take this comment you made as a yes, that you believe Israel us lying: 'I do not believe an attack targeting Kibbutzim was planned. I do, however, believe that such a story would be to the benefit of Israel.' |
My family was evacuated from their kibbutz because a tunnel was discovered under the dining hall. This is true indeed. |
about as fast as Israel acquired its bombs. |
Jeff would rather believe that Hamas built these tunnels to deliver flowers to the Israelis rather than Hamas would use them to kill. Sigh. An organization that celebrates the killing of another, that celebrates children dying for their cause, that swears to the destruction of all Jews (not just Israelis)....can never be trusted. |
If you lived next to Israel, you'd build tunnels, too. |
Oh, we are just making things up about each other now, huh? Well "anonymous" would rather believe that the Israelis are simply engaging in urban renewal and actually arrange Uber cabs to pick up the Palestinians and take them to a safe haven before destroying their homes. If you are not willing to trust Hamas -- because trust is necessary for political agreements -- then the only option you have is war. If your only option is war, then you accept that civilians -- including women and children -- will be killed. So, "anonymous", I guess you are a supporter of killing children. |
I've always liked Aljazeera - http://america.aljazeera.com/articles/2014/7/23/gaza-undergroundhamastunnels.html Gaza’s underground: A vast tunnel network that empowers Hamas

since the 80s? |
Hamas marches through tunnels, what do you want them to do? March on Land? Go show themselves so that they can be all killed? Israelis use their jets to bomb Ghaza because they control the airspace, why don't they give up their jets and march through Ghaza on foot? It is really hypocritical to condemn Hamas's tunnels but don't even raise your finger at Israel's tanks, F-16S, Bombs, artillery, and what not. Of course Israel won't use tunnels to get through Ghaza, why the heck would they build tunnels? They have arms, armored vehicles, tanks, artillery, missiles, planes, helicopters, and warships. What does Hamas have? Not a single jet, not a single vehicle, they have ROCKETS. If you were hunted like a rat, you would build tunnels like the jews did in the warsaw ghetto. HAMAS need the Tunnels to SURVIVE. Once it was Nazis Leveling the Warsaw Ghetto, Now it’s Israel’s IDF Leveling Gaza. The irony! |
Why do so many end at or near Kibbutzim? |
Why haven't you gone back to fight with Hamas? |
I thought you'd never ask. You think it's easy to go to Ghaza? Funny anecdote: Even Palestinians dont have the right to return.. Another funny anecdote, the UN doesn't consider Hamas a terrorist organization....Do I agree with everything Hamas does? Of Course Not, but then again, you probably never heard that Hamas runs preschools, youth clubs, and health clinics. It provides needy people with assistance, and even holds free weddings. It is that face of Hamas that many Palestinians see first.Hamas was created as an offshoot of the Egyptian Muslim Brothers. In Gaza, it provided a network of social welfare institutions supporting the poor. During the first Palestinian Intifada, a Hamas resistance military wing was formed. That military wing is the one that attacks Israel and defends Ghaza, but really Hamas is much bigger than that! |

Why are you chastising me? It's not as though I posted from Ynet. Quite frankly, I'm no fan of either side. so no finger pointing at me, please |
Because the cities are not adjacent to the border. BTW has anyone seen a Qassam rocket? It's about 20 lbs of TNT propelled by a tube full of saltpeter, with no guidance or targeting capability. Here is a representative photo of the damage. Not that anyone should have to live with the threat of bombs, but these things don't do much damage. Even before Iron Dome, Hamas could launch hundreds of them without killing a single person. ![]() |
