Who is the great coach?

There are a definitely a few recognizable names on the roster. Give me some great players and I'll have dad coach and still win plenty of games. Give me a team of unknowns with that kind of record, and then I'll call the coach "great".

They're no FC Bordeaux for sure . You should go check out Nadir's (and McLean's) record before you throw shade on another championship effort.

I don't think the aim is to knock McLean's success but to say that there are strong teams in the neighborhood that can complete with the best. In the U18/19 categopry, you have FC Bordeaux, McLean, BRYC, Herndon (also coached by McLean coach), Baltimore Union, OPSA, etc. that are local teams that have performed well in national tournaments and can probably compete well against ECNL teams. It just supports the idea that teams don't have to travel across the country to compete against strong competition.

#2: 29 kid roster is BS.

Wtf are you doing exactly with a 29 player roster??? For just one team? How is that not criminal

Is it possible that with this age group and girls graduating you take the opportunity to allow players to play up?

Sometimes intermittently , but it’s gotta be a balance. Losing all year long because of endless play ups isn’t good for players either, and you never see how much it holds players back until the play ups are replaced by age appropriate players.

I missed something. Who in the world has a 29 player roster?

No inside info but some factors that may be in play:

- combined age group, club not willing to leave anyone behind
- all girls are juniors and seniors playing HS, injuries
- some girls in private school with fall HS seasons

I get your overall point but sometimes you say stuff that shows a lack of knowledge. In this case, listing BRYC as a top U18/19 team. VYS would have been a better choice.
