And Trump is telling the crews to man up?? These people are so clueless. How could the US military lose…you are watching it happen.

Iran is going to be in position to demand concessions from the US soon, not the other way around. Trump's failure is just astounding, even for him.

To be honest, I am overjoyed that Trump and his fools will fail spectacularly and the whole world is watching!

A lot of innocent civilians are going to die in the Middle East and a lot of others around the world will suffer economically. So... not great.

Yes so much for Jared and peace. The more you get fighting going, the more you ask for tensions to boil over in all sorts of ways.
Any missile in the region leads to a dozen more.
Good job Jared!

And it seems Trump's "Board of Peace" suddenly became "Bored with Peace"

I think all of his donors deserve refunds.

Apparently one is owned by a US company.

So are taxpayers on the hook for these, or has that not started yet?

Really? I am more shocked it is owned by a US company vs it is on fire. Not many shipped registered as US.

"The ships on fire in the Persian Gulf are the Maltese-flagged Zefyros (Greek-owned) and the Marshallese-flagged Safesea Vishnu (owned by US-based Safesea Transport Inc.), according to CNN, confirming a report from Tanker Trackers."

I am indeed sorry for the collateral damage but showing then world that Trump is a collasal failure may be the only good thing to come out of Operation Epic Failure.

Welp that should do wonders for oil prices

Shortly after this occurred, DOE put out a statement we will release 172m barrels from the SPR (about 40% of supply), clearly in an attempt to jawbone the price back down. Unfortunately price of oil has only continued to rise.

The fact that we are emptying the half-filled Strategic Petroleum Reserve just 12 days into this shows how little thought went into launching a war with Iran. And this does nothing about the 20 percent of LNG that goes through the Strait of Hormuz. The rest of the world that depends on this energy is going to be livid with the US for a very long time.

Foreigner here. I will speak for all the world and say that we already knew that. It's the Americans who voted for Trump who appear to not be learning this lesson. And since Fox will never change, they will never learn this lesson. Trump will die and thousands will attend his funeral. It's only the history books that will record and try to explain his shocking rise to power and the hold he and the rightwing media had over his supporters.

I can't remember the last conversation I had with my family abroad that didn't include some version of 'What's wrong with your President?' and 'Just how stupid/brainwashed are Americans?'

America has made the world pay for electing a Black man as president. When will we admit this?

Does this make anyone else angry about how wasteful all of our military spending has been over the years?

Now the entire world's energy infrastructure is at risk, the war is looking like it will be another forever war lasting years and costing trillions, and now there is massive risk for terrorist or cyber attacks on US home soil.

You better start prepping with a lot of water, food, etc. Who knows what S storm is coming. Iran has the capability of taking out energy infrastructure via hacking or possibly through sleeper cells. This admin hasn't prepared for anything. We will be screwed if electric gets taken out. Clean water will be impossible.

Trump has created a whole new generation of terrorists. This will not end well for Americans. We now have targets on our backs. Thanks MAGA.

Shit's going to hit the fan fast. I've been engaged with some staunch anti-West people on another forum and one of them, an Indian who has been backing Iran this whole time finally snapped - over the LNG crisis already unfolding in India. Suddenly he went from staunch Iran defender to calling on Modi to sand warships and military gear to force Iran to open the Strait. Along with calling for a blockade of any and all Iranian vessels traveling through the Strait of Malacca.

I think news is coming so fast we don't know how to process. And, Alex Preti is a US Citizen shot in the face by a US Federal agent. It's more personal and relatable. Believe me, people are upset. The question is, why are Republicans in Congress going along with this?
