So, anyone actually get pregnant while using the "pull-out" method?

Title says it all.
This has been DH's preferred method since DC2 was born. We aren't planning on a third. What are the chances?

You are not in hs anymore. That doesn't work well as bc. My best friend got pregnant this way. They, too, were surprised when it happened since they had been doing this for a couple of years.

Dumbest idea ever.

I'm assuming they were surprised because there had not been an "accident"?

I have a friend who has 3 kids this way. Doesn't seem to be working so well.

Sorry, typing on tablet which I hate so my posts are brief. Yes, she got pregnant, and they were surprised that she did because they were doing it this way for a couple of years without getting pregnant so they thought it was working.

No, I never did. And I consider myself very lucky as I was, yes, in high school. It's just too risky, especially considering the myriad easy and more effective options.

I can never believe how uninformed people are about this. Used correctly, this method is very reliable. We used it for ten years with total success

Got pregnant. If you really don't want to get pregnant- birth control pill or vasectomy (if you are done).

There's still way too much room for human error. I'd rather get an IUD and be done with it. We're not teenagers anymore. Anyone who relies on this method of "birth control" when there are so many actual alternatives is foolish.

No, you've just been damn lucky. This is the type of misinformation that kids in hs believe.

I think it might depend on how "drippy" your DH is too.

You don't know that this is the reason you haven't gotten pregnant. You're probably just infertile.

OP here. I'm not complaining, because in my heart of hearts, I want a third baby. Not that it would be at all logical - but if there was an accident, it would be the happy kind. But DH would take the blame. He won't get a vasectomy, pills do bad things to me, and IUDs freak me out.

DH doesn't wait until the last minute though - usually pulls out well before the event.
